The deck will live. maybe. Just need new belts, which should be coming in soon, to further diagnose.

Counter belt not in place. Either that or the screw gear on the counter pulley is loose on the shaft. Looked that it might be sliding in and out as it turned. The counter belt should not be moving too and fro as it is.

Yup. That would do it. No sound on what I could watch so did not understand. Love these old decks. Have one of these myself. Great deck! Have a great one!
