Fun fact... kinda, since I started Sim Racing, I unintentionally learned what Ryosuke said about downgrading power for the race, I've learned the hard way, before I always thought that "more power = more fast" was a no brainer, it is quite obvious, but when you tune your car for one specific track, you might not have the chance to use the extra power, and that extra power will just make the car harder to handle, you will have to work harder to keep the car under control. Another way to explain this, is if you tune your car for a track without long straights, not only you will never reach your top speed, but also if your style is grip, the extra power will make the car want to slide, if you don't know how to catch the drift or save a spin, you will have a hard time... Or... you will need A LOT of skill to handle a very high HP car on a slow track or in the mountains, the lesson here is that, even if you have a ton of skill, if your goal is to win, you should make your car easier to drive to maximize your skill/control.

I felt this was all there was to the case too, but in reality it has more to do with the wheelbase and the suspension setup, yeah if it has to much power it can be harder to control, but with skill you’ll know how much gas to give and how much to brake, there’s no need to floor it all the way sort of how tsuchiya drives that J’s s2000 or the FEED rx7. I learned that the longer the wheelbase softer, sluggish suspension, high speed designed chassis with a lot of power does a lot better in high speed tracks like Bathurst, but more economy or short wheel base cars like 86s do a lot better in the touge not because of the horsepower but because of the soft chassis allows the wheel base and the rear wheels to rotate faster because the suspension allows more wheel rotation at lower speed, but will struggle in the higher end of things. But yes, it still doesn’t change the fact that it is easier and faster with lower HP, and you do gain more control throttle wise.

@@optionrush5050 I've learned this too when I was learning to Drift, short wheel base cars tend to spin easily, are harder to control, but when you get the hang of it, they are super agile, in the other hand, longer wheel base cars make you feel more in control, but that's because they are more sluggish to drive, they are a great choice for beginners.

I don't know how to drive a real car but just enjoy them in games. In Need For speed Carbon where rival fights have you race down a mountain path with a bunch of curves. I learned that the more powerful the car,the harder it was to control and kept crashing into the safety rails and falling off the mountain. A slower car that had better handling let me finish the game easier

2:28 - 2:38 is probably the most badass shot I’ve ever seen in any initial D fan creation!! The driving on the dirt followed by a super close up of ryosukes drift! Chefs kiss.

If you didn't read the manga I recommend giving it a chance too, it has some extra content (like Takumi setting the new record run on Akina with Natsuki Mogi sitting next to him or Takumi avoiding a crash on highway in Bunta's subaru)

FCはドリグリでの立ち上がり踏めるラインですね これ思ったより立ち上がり遅く無いのでFDはホントに置いてかれてる感じかもですね😊

ほんとそれ。安全確保しながら１コーナーずつ実写撮影して切り貼りしたのかと思った。途中の木とか山でやっとゲームだと確信できた。

タイトルでもしかしたら空飛ぶんじゃあないかとヒヤヒヤしながら見てたわw 最後までカッコよくて安心した

物語後半のゴテゴテした外観よりも、これくらいシンプルな外観の方が好き。

わかる 固定ライトは空力・軽量化・見た目の現役時からの定番チューンだが､GTウイングや､FDのD1みたいなプラモ的なゴテゴテ感は､マンネリ防止や､性能のアップデートなのは分かるが､後半FCは涼介のキャラにも合ってないと思う

言いたいことはすごーくわかるけど 箱根ダウンにおける対死神GTRにたいして少しでも立ち上がりの加速力と 深い突っ込みからコントロールできる制動力を得るために 最善のチューニングをした結果があの外観だからしょうがないですね

It's not all about having brute horsepower to go fast in downhill but rather the control and skills of the driver and also weight reduction and proper weight distribution of the vehicle!! 260 HP car running on a downhill race is already like driving a 300 HP car due to the decline physics!! One of the reasons why Fujiwara won against Ryosuke is because the weight of the car. Yeah sure the RX7 FC has a lot of power than the AE86 and faster on straights but it has its drawback and that is being a grand tourer vehicle which is heavy and it limits its cornering speed potential when it comes into twisties and sharp hairpins unlike the Trueno. It's more than just Takumi is the protagonist of the show or being the hero driver but rather the car itself has already an advantage, no wonder why people use them on track days, drifting, touge race, and rally due to its lightweight characteristics.
