Anyway, you can 'get your foot in the door' with any house that will have gone up in value in these years you have to wait for your forever home??? We can find something in a good area, in the 200s and you can buy and rent out until you are ready and it will have gone up also and you should just put the tax-free rent money in the bank and save it all! @@fossidoesmexico4027 Hi Linda, I wasn't expecting such a quick response. : ) After viewing a few more of your videos I keep coming back to this one as it is the exact style I would want, that garden area is amazing! After a little research and Google mapping, I was able to find the Google map street view. I see to the left is a huge mansion (love to see the inside of that one) and to the right the Bodega Bar and Restaurant. I wonder how noisy they are as a neighbor. lol. And they are a few blocks from the Lake Chapala Society, so perfect location. I do love this street/neighborhood and was wondering how often homes come on the market here. It may be 3-5 years before I retire, but this area is ideal. Also, so mentioned in another video of yours that you also own a huge house in Ajijic and was wondering if you had a video on your place or how you came to find it. I just love watching these videos and hearing other peoples stories on how they made Lake Chapala area their home. @@LC-bk7zw Hi Larry. I think it's important as a great Realtor and video personality, that I respond as quickly as I can to everyone who writes. Hey, that big mansion next door is actually MY house! Ha. And yes, we will be taking a video of this house in late October, as it will go on the market in mid November. I am also building 'another mansion' on the Privada behind my house (and Casa Verde/the Village Jewel). We will video that one also and it will also go on the market at the same time. Whichever sells first, I will take the other off; as I need a place to live, but I also need the money to finish my final three houses and selling just one of these will build those three. Neither of these 'mansions' will be inexpensive. Eventually you'll see. This one is about 7000 sf with a huge new pool, fabulous lake views from the second and third levels....very Italian and New York...not Mexican at all. After you have 'done a Mexican home' you are ready to move on to other styles. My first home was fully decked out Mexican. The single man who bought the house next door, has absolutely changed it...everything. The backyard is very male and barren. (But be exercises in the pool everyday and only has an electric bicycle for transportation! The upstairs is 100% different. He did not change much of the downstairs except get rid of the fans, add A/C and adding much better lighting. But it is NOT the same house that is in the video. People do that. They buy it because they love it, and then when they start living in it, they decide to make it more of their 'own' taste...and well they should! I am taking a fixer upper listing about four doors away (closer to La Floresta), but it will sell right away, just like Casa Verde did; within 10 hours of the video dropping, Tony from Albuquerque, having NEVER even visited Ajijic, bought it, full price, sight unseen and LOVES IT. La Bodega is quite calm these days...in fact, it will probably be closed in 2024, as they are building small rental Casitas in the rear. More money in renting AirBnbs than bad Karaoke! Ha. Thanks for 'liking and subscribing'...means a lot. Linda

Guess it makes it very convenient to get a bite to eat though. lol I'm looking forward to seeing your fixer upper home projects as well as your other projects. Be cool if we could see the before and after photos/videos. I love watching the fixer upper shows here in the States. Hi Rich Smith! Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Everyone is allowed to buy, renovate and sell...that's what RE is all about. But actually, the true reason she sold is that she actually wanted a much larger yard for her animals...many dogs and a bigger pool. That is the reason. And she found it, in La Floresta and she bought it and she is just about to start her remodel to make it the house she wants 'for now'...and yes, she will one day want to sell that house also and hopefully, she will make the money she put into it and more! THAT'S CALLED INVESTMENT and all Real Estate is an investment. Just like a brokerage account or stock market account. Except, they say that RE is the best of all those investments as the up and downs are not daily or drastic. I know you know this. Thanks for watching Rick Smith and your comments. Always appreciated. Hundreds of thousands of Mexican people that live in the U.S. have different opinions about the U.S. and no one questions their opinions just based and solely on the fact that they are Mexican. If you ever talk to people here in Mexico and I contrary to what you say have many friends here who agree with me. Being welcoming is not the same as addressing a real issue of gentrification and being priced out of areas and cities like San Miguel de Allende, Ajijic, Guadalajara, D.F.
