    Hi Maria. Thank you so much for writing. I'm sorry to say, this home sold within 10 hours of this video for full price and today, a year later, with added renovations, it would probably list for $495K. Things here are just going up, up, up. Unfortunately, houses in great areas usually sell for list price or even sometimes, more than list price. But don't worry, there are homes out there that could sale for $280K. So when are you coming so I can show then to you? I'm sure we can find one you could make look very similar to this one! Looking forward to your arrival?? Linda

    It is helpful delindahess-sump; except it can't be changed....sorry. This video was taken by a firm I no long work with, and so to take their information out (which was necessary), the new videographer had to come up with something, and putting that band along the bottom got the video still playing, but their info taken out. It was a trade off. Only TWO videos are like that. See my other videos at Biencom International Real Estate. There is no black band aross the bottom of those. Thank you for your comment, I'm sure it disturbs a lot of people. I wish I were a magician, but alas, I am not. Have a great weekend.

    Hi Roberto! Thank you so much for loving Rich Deb's Villager House in Ajijic. I also very much loved this home (and the owners). But alas, they have had to leave and the new owners have made this home 'their home'. They have made amazing changes to the house and in the new year, with their permission, I might make a new video and show what can be done to an 'already' great home to make it 'your home' when you buy it! It is so different to do that here in Mexico. It is not at all what you would expect to pay for such an upgrade...and that is what I want people to see. It will not be whether you like A better than B, but what you can do for a small amount of money to change a home to 'your own style'...Thank you for watching and thank you for commenting. Linda

    Has the property sold?

  • @fossidoesmexico4027
    @fossidoesmexico40279 ай бұрын

    Hi Gabriel, Yes, I'm afraid this property has sold. BUT, if you are in the area, I have others I can show you. Problem is, if you are not here right now, there is no use even looking, as homes in this price range last only hours on the market. When are you planning a trip? There a brand new remodel with fantastic lake view, just three houses away...same street WITH a separate, full Casita for rentals. It listed 2 days ago. It's $399K. Prices have gone up....but this house has HUGE VIEWS and a rental and could also come most furnished. The $225K houses are now far and few between on a Privada in the East Village. Our prices only go up...which is a great investment; but we are also a 'cash only' country.... Anyway, we do have houses in the low twos, but not in this neighborhood....but for sure, you would like them. Let me know if you are coming for a buying visit? OR if you are here (Even Better!). Thank you for watching and commenting. Linda Fossi

    Hi Renee. What a lovely, kind thing to say. I know I may not be everyone's favorite (ha!), but I love being one of your favorites; someone you enjoy watching. I've been 'out of touch' with video's lately because of many reasons: Surgery. Recovery. Busy at work. Busy selling houses. Busy building houses and very busy getting this house ready for market. My next upcoming video, called "The House of Bellissimo's" could be videoed this week...not sure...a few things left to get and set up for the house to be perfect...so maybe the week of US Thanksgiving (which I figure wouldn't be a bad launch date; as it would give everyone something to watch when they are falling into a food coma ~ if you are not into football ~ or the game is over). Cheers, Linda Fossi

    @@fossidoesmexico4027 Hi Linda, I wasn't expecting such a quick response. : ) After viewing a few more of your videos I keep coming back to this one as it is the exact style I would want, that garden area is amazing! After a little research and Google mapping, I was able to find the Google map street view. I see to the left is a huge mansion (love to see the inside of that one) and to the right the Bodega Bar and Restaurant. I wonder how noisy they are as a neighbor. lol. And they are a few blocks from the Lake Chapala Society, so perfect location. I do love this street/neighborhood and was wondering how often homes come on the market here. It may be 3-5 years before I retire, but this area is ideal. Also, so mentioned in another video of yours that you also own a huge house in Ajijic and was wondering if you had a video on your place or how you came to find it. I just love watching these videos and hearing other peoples stories on how they made Lake Chapala area their home. @@LC-bk7zw Hi Larry. I think it's important as a great Realtor and video personality, that I respond as quickly as I can to everyone who writes. Hey, that big mansion next door is actually MY house! Ha. And yes, we will be taking a video of this house in late October, as it will go on the market in mid November. I am also building 'another mansion' on the Privada behind my house (and Casa Verde/the Village Jewel). We will video that one also and it will also go on the market at the same time. Whichever sells first, I will take the other off; as I need a place to live, but I also need the money to finish my final three houses and selling just one of these will build those three. Neither of these 'mansions' will be inexpensive. Eventually you'll see. This one is about 7000 sf with a huge new pool, fabulous lake views from the second and third levels....very Italian and New York...not Mexican at all. After you have 'done a Mexican home' you are ready to move on to other styles. My first home was fully decked out Mexican. The single man who bought the house next door, has absolutely changed it...everything. The backyard is very male and barren. (But be exercises in the pool everyday and only has an electric bicycle for transportation! The upstairs is 100% different. He did not change much of the downstairs except get rid of the fans, add A/C and adding much better lighting. But it is NOT the same house that is in the video. People do that. They buy it because they love it, and then when they start living in it, they decide to make it more of their 'own' taste...and well they should! I am taking a fixer upper listing about four doors away (closer to La Floresta), but it will sell right away, just like Casa Verde did; within 10 hours of the video dropping, Tony from Albuquerque, having NEVER even visited Ajijic, bought it, full price, sight unseen and LOVES IT. La Bodega is quite calm these days...in fact, it will probably be closed in 2024, as they are building small rental Casitas in the rear. More money in renting AirBnbs than bad Karaoke! Ha. Thanks for 'liking and subscribing'...means a lot. Linda

Guess it makes it very convenient to get a bite to eat though. lol I'm looking forward to seeing your fixer upper home projects as well as your other projects. Be cool if we could see the before and after photos/videos. I love watching the fixer upper shows here in the States. Hi itodave100. Very funny. House sold in 15 minutes for MORE than full price; so I'm afraid your offer is a bit late. But thanks for watching. Perhaps you might want to check out Chapalamls.com and get a picture of the prices of homes in Ajijic and various locations; as of course, in any real estate market; prices are always first based on the three magic words: Location. Location. Location. There certainly are less expensive homes, and none are $55K anywhere you would want to live, but it could give you some ideas about prices and how many are 'under contract' immediately. Once you get our MLS, click "residential" then click on the area: AJIJIC VILLAGE, or AJIJIC and see what you can find. I agree that home prices have gone way up since I first moved here 22 years ago, but the pretty much is the same anywhere in the world. Mexico is no exception. @@fossidoesmexico4027 Hi Linda, I've lived here in Mexico for many years and I'm not a real estate agent here trying to sell properties that just a couple of years ago were half the price. Anyone who doubts that can look that up and also I'm wondering if all of your clients are aware that you don't need any kind of a R.E. license in order to sell properties in Mexico? I'm in a really great mood Linda and I certainly don't need you to characterize my mood. I'm sure that there's no profit in selling that particular home, and that you're just donating your time in order to sell it. And I'm sure you're doing just fine there financially Linda.
