Great videos! Wendy did a great job touring y'all around. I know this was filmed some time ago. I'm an investor and realtor working both in Lake Chapala and Puerto Vallarta and like Brian, I chose to live in a Mexican neighborhood in San Juan Cosala, just West of Ajijic. I bought my place back in 2018 and it was much more affordable than Ajijic and I love it! In fact, it's getting very popular! I would also highly recommend Jocotopec the next municipality to the West of SJC as well as Chapala on the East Side. Joco is so pretty & if the immersive experience is what you're looking for, you will definitely get it. They have a beautiful plaza and the markets are so cool and fun. I love to get my fruits and veggies over there - the produce is amazing & there is almost no traffic going that direction from West Ajijic and onwards! Chapala is getting extremely popular with expats because of the walkability of Centro. I'm still a landlord in Southern California and also had a place in Tucson, AZ for several years and I have to say the crime like petty theft & car theft is WAY worse in the US now than it is in Mexico. Things have really changed. Cheers and enjoy!

Cool.👍🙋
I was born in one of those small towns around the lake. I remember traveling to Ajijic and Chapala and seeing these beautiful homes. Most of the owners were older people who had emigrated from the US or Canada. Over time, I heard that younger people now reside in these towns and communities have grown tremendously. I remember the native people were at first excited to have foreigners and welcomed them. From what I’ve heard now, the feeling has changed due to gentrification.

@@ak5626 Thank you so much for sharing! What town are you from?
I love peacefull pads. 👍🥰
Wendy is a very knowledgeable? She's the type of real estate agent that an expat should seek out if buying a property in the Ajijic area?

Hello, I would say that this is the case as far as my experience with her. I also look forward to working with her in the future for my own purposes. I would highly recommend giving her a call and asking her some questions about who she is and what her experience is like So you can gauge whether or not she would be good to work with for your purposes. She's very generous with her time.

My husband and I will be in Chapala from January 18-26th. We would love to have Wendy take us around to see some properties. Would you please give her contact information so we can speak to her…..thanks
I am amazed at the stunning artwork in the house.

Absolutely!!
unfortunately, the sound quality is weak… I would’ve liked to been able to hear some of the information that was being provided, where the realtor was either speaking too softly or being spoken over when he was providing critical information to most travelers and people considering relocating.
Everyone in the video seems pleasant enough, but really need better audio for the majority of the video. This video is almost over and I don't feel I'm learning much.
Beautiful area

Very 👍
Wendy is fantastic! Ajicjic is a beautiful area, even though the lake is pretty much useless, lol. I know that you are just looking at properties here for investment, but I have heard that there are cliques here and that you can feel it, so I wouldn't live there, lol. Chapala and Jocotopec are different.

Wendy is awesome and the lake is useless. Joe likes Chapala better because there is more of a Mexican vibe 😀
Why are there so many nice homes for sale? Do people go there to die?

I totally get what you are saying. Ajijic is definintly not the cheapest place in Mexico to buy a house
That's for the wealthy people, it's very expensive. Now I'm here in a ajilic
