There’s no doubt about your intentions to achieve the supreme bliss of nibbana or in other words to be enlightened by practicing the teachings of Buddha. But did you ever know that this forest tradition is rejected by Siddhartha Gautama Buddha? He was in the forest doing this hard line for 6 years yet got nothing and he abandoned the method? Only Jain Mahavira was advising his disciples to practice it. After Siddhartha’s demise many Jains became Buddhist monks to get benefits and included their point of views into Buddhism meantime making it also a useless religion. Now this has become useless as the real experiment that Buddha advised to do has been covered with Jain teachings and Hindu beliefs along with worshiping traditions. Good thing is, in Sri Lanka only in one place the real method is found and taught. In it the real practicing procedure is guided. I live that temple. The silver Buddha in the upasatha is so beautiful. And last time I went there were a lot of people for the evening chanting.

Right. The monks were just sitting around in monasteries without attaining to anything until Mun.

Forest tradition should enter Finland, we are suffering from great materialism but we have a lot of forest and opportunity for peace.

Wait. Not laying down for 10 years? Can you elaborate on this? When you said that, I just gave up becoming a monk in Thailand 😂.

Not a must its a added practice for faster progress and cultivation of mind. Yo can be a monk and still lay down in lion posture.

This is a topic for the Wat pa Nong pa pong Sangha. Please refer to monks of that tradition for explanation. Be careful not to spread false information. My understanding is that there are no issues these days. More of a nothing burger. However not a topic for me to comment on.
