True, we have nothing on earth. Just an act. Everyone is just an individual, walking closer to the grave every minute, so why the greed for materialistic things. May Buddha bless us all with wisdom.

I am a lay Mahayanist Buddhist in the Tibetan Sakyapa tradition. I would love to go on retreat for a year, living a more simple life dedicated to the Dharma, but for now I practice service to other living beings, which is the only path to true happiness in this world. I wish happiness without suffering to all :)

If we look at it with such a literal outlook yes that's true. But the same could be said about many things, for example not everyone can be a doctor, or a teacher, or a mathematician, or a housekeeper, etc. I think maybe what's important is to strive to have a healthy balance in life in everything, which is of course much easier said than done. One thing is for sure though: We don't all have to be Buddha's or monks for us all to realize and wake up to the fact that there's something very very wrong with the system of the world we're living and has been for wayyy too long, with its filthy greed, disgusting politics, and the endless injustices and crimes that are committed against humanity, animals and the environment. 😔
