The problem is that eventually, you're gonna wanna do some kinda calculation or run some kinda function that you can't do with queries alone, so you'll end up building an ORM and writing a program that does the calculations or runs the function you want. Then, eventually, you'll realize you want to display the data in a certain way or visualize it somehow, so you'll build out some kinda front end or GUI. The point is, by the time you realize you've built an entire fullstack application just to keep track of your household budget and expenses, you'll also realize that pretty much everything your application is doing could have been done with Excel.

​@ChaosAngel667 Yes, but it is easier to use a spreadsheet. You don't need a surgical team to peel an apple. Sometimes, simpler and more accessible option is better.
