I just got this airfix set from hobby lobby for 40% off regular price and i can see i will need another one to fully display all the vehicles, figures and extras! Great video, great content. Good job!

Those British para figures are only about 17 years younger than WW2 itself! Very old moulds used for them! The base unit is also available from Almera and is vacform.

A good kit. I’m building mine now. The only thing that has let let it down is the paints. Most of them in my were either un-numbered, dried up or even empty!

I was given one of these as a present, I sold it on ebay. The tanks are 1/76 and the soldiers are 1/72.

Oh man. That sucks. You could contact airfix and they might be able to send you one.

Everything in this box is made with almost 50 year old moulds and unfortunately it shows, especially the figurines.

Yes, the new Sherman and Tiger are much better. The German infantry are ok but the Paras really could do with an update.

the instructions are really bad im pretty much done with this kit but in the diorama at the back the painting guide for it is really vague it just says what colours you need but not where, also the picture has things which arent included in the set like scatter, also there is no guide to painting the figures at all and the paints for it arent even included (it says you have to buy the paints for the people separately on the painting guide)

Mine didn’t have tanks.

I’d send it back and get one that has everything.

A good set let down by the poor old British paratroops. Widely known as one of the worst sets of Airfix figures they ever made (originally issued in 1965). Otherwise base and rest of the pieces are great for the price. Would consider using Italeri figures and "Dragon Armour" vehicles as good subsitutes.
