Is that "carbon fiber propeller" actually a wood or laminated wood propeller with carbon fiber [and resin] wrapped around the wood? That seems to be the more common propeller that is called a "carbon fiber propeller", but I believe 100% pure carbon fiber propellers exist too. How different are the two types of carbon fiber propellers in practice?

He y Max - Thanks for the comment. This one is solid carbon. There are a lot of solid carbon prop manufacturers these days. I do like the MT wood/glass prop; they are pretty nice! Thanks for watching!

as a newb do you have to log that in the planes maintenance book? If so does one have to report it to anybody. thanks for you time and videos.

If there is damage (e.g. cracked fairing or something requiring an airworthiness inspection) then the repair should be noted in the logbook. In this case reporting it to the FAA is voluntary. Thanks for the question and for watching!
