Wow great speaker, vast intelligence, foresight, vision, and long-term planning for a CEO that is still only 38 years old. To think he already had this even then!

Price. Price. Price is what really attracted me to Airbnb. Hotels were charging ridiculous amounts. So let's not miss the point. Price is at the core of this. Don't forget that please as you go public. I'm happy for your success. Hotels had to come to the party..

I don’t know about everyone, but I also like hotels. I like the hustle and bustle of hotels. Meeting random people. Order food from downstairs delivered to my room. Go to the hotel pool. Hotel bars. Hotel restaurants. I like Airbnb if I want to be private but otherwise, I like the hotel environment. Meeting different people is exciting and fun. If I want a home, I’ll stay home. Lol. But I will do Airbnb if I want to be private.

We have seen the Amazon movie, crushing the retail business and then gets into retail.I bet Airbnb will do the same with hotels.

Thanks for sharing. So what was Airbnb doing to verify owner's information prior to the mass murder incident.

I’m a bit confused, why AirBNB is considering an IPO if its currently holding < 3 billion capital ?

This interviewer sucks for starting out all positive with a terrible story like that. Bro really? Luckily Brian is a great CEO and Co-Founder to turn this interview into a great one.

I don't know why the reporter kept on saying that Airbnb was going to verify the listings themselves when the CEO is obviously describing a crowdsourcing model.

Airbnb has made me a small fortune. But I can tell you they don't give shit about safety for the host. They don't allow you to cancel shady guests. They don't let you block bad guests. Crack heads will return with instant booking.

All the 4 solutions are targeted at Hosts, to squeeze them. And that's a reply to Guests using a property for a party! How's that relevant? That's like the opposite side of where to fix.

@@parthvaidya5176 I think neighbors are not "hosts". Neighbors are people who live near hosts' houses. So they could complaint about noise to Airbnb instead of Police.

Air BNB’s business model is built/isolated for a limited demographics, no room for diversified... As a consumer, If I want the same lodging experience on my long await hard earned vacation why paid $$,for the same shitty experience that I could get it for free @ home. The reason Im willing to pay for a room @ The “W” or etc. (which I’ve in the same city of my residence) is because I want to have the best possible experience on my hard earned vaca. One reason for going public is obviously more cash flow for diversification ...make sense? My uneducated prediction, Air BNB intents to capture a boutique hotel Market share (if the mentioned airbabdb’s cash reserve figure is accurate), So why AirBNB being so secretive abt its intention for an IPO?

He is lying in public TV,, There is no security being Airbnb hosts I was their support hosts for over 2 years their guests did damages in my beautiful beach house, they keep the house filthy and nasty as you can imagine broke dishes cups, damage and broke big windows, the white walls are so dirty and bothered my neighbors with parting and making lots of noises. I had to battle with them and they wanted to pay a minimum for their guests behavior, they think the cleaning fee it has to cover all of that. I advise everyone to learn and read the security policies to host and make sure they have good insurance to cover the damages with no headaches causing the hosts I would say Airbnb simply sucks. Great Idea???!!! yes because you profit from both the guest and the host right. what a hoax. Your business has to be regulated and many properties have to be bolled out of neighbourhoods

Words are fine, but if actions aren't met, what good is it? Don't expect much help from Airbnb if you book a place that turns out bad. I stayed at an Airbnb not too long ago, which unfortunately had poor health conditions ("sweating walls"), so I only stayed there for one night. Airbnb support was very poor, they didn't help to find and book another apartment, I had to do so myself + they didn't refund 100%. Their support is like talking to a bot, you basically get generic replies that you can't use to anything. Turns out now that Airbnb deleted all their listings, so I guess that's a positive thing.
