I don't use air pillows at all because I only sell very small items. BUT, I still found this video really interesting, and one thing that struck me, was besides the money you save per pillow, for someone like me, who has very limited space for anything reselling related, that machine is much more compact than I would have imagined, so the machine & film rolls must take up a lot less space than oversized boxes full of pre-filled air pillows. It sounds like a fantastic choice for people who use them all of the time. Enjoy yours, and thanks for sharing!

I let my air pillow warm up for a couple of mins and then I let it cool down 3~5 mins when I’m done. Great informative video❤❤❤

I don’t sell hard goods often but am fortunate that I work at a hospital and one of the nurses in the OR leaves me HuGe bags of bubble wrap and air pillows often. I have soooo much! Not going to complain and I wish I had a fellow reseller to share them with as I don’t want to waste them.

I’m so glad you did this review! I don’t really see myself selling that many glass items overall (I could be wrong), but this makes me want to go into the air pillow business. I could pay for my machine in just a few orders. Lol

It might’ve been a little late in the game for the investment, but this is exactly the time to do it because of that dimensional weight. So good for you guys. I’ve dialed back a little bit with my hard goods, although that’s my absolute favorite. My storage is really my biggest issue when it comes to my choice of what I’m reselling and right now, I’m leaning towards clothing, because I bag it and put it in banker boxes. If I buy the machine, I will definitely be getting it through your link. I love that you two are burgundy coordinated. Lol. Thanks for this video!

Thank you Vickie! So, I hear frequently from other people how the air pillows aren't reliable enough due to 'de-inflating' during shipping sometimes, & that peanuts are a safer bet. I have always used the peanuts when shipping breakables. Have you not experienced any issues w/ the pillows breaking down during shipping? Always appreciate your analysis.....

As you know, I have been making pack and ship videos for several years. I have been using the air pillows for over two years. I’ve never had a single issue of anything breaking. I haven’t heard of any air pillows deflated upon arrival. There are all kinds of Air pillows out there. And some people recycle them. All lose some air as they age that’s why recycling might result in the air pillows deflating. Overinflating can also cause issues with popping. With that said, I’ve had air pillows in storage in our garage for six months or so and they’ve always been fine and now we can make them fresh, so that’s even better. I purchased this particular air pillow machine because it’s from the same company that makes the air pillows I’ve been using for over two years. And I still wrap my items in Bubble Wrap first. Hopes that answers your question. Thanks!

Thank you both so much for this video!! It looks like you covered ALL the bases in comparing cost of having your own machine. I have friends saving pillows for me but if my supply runs low I will be ordering the Defender! At the end of the video you said "Higher air speed not recommended". Did you find that you get fewer flat pillows at the slower speed? One more question: where do you find the best price on white tissue paper? Dollar Tree doesn't always have it when I need it and it seems expensive online

I think the high speed is not recommended because sufficient time is needed for the sealing. It is doing better now that I’m warming it up for about three minutes first. Believe me, it speeds up enough on its own, even at the lower setting! I still buy my tissue paper at the dollar tree. I typically pick up 10 packs at time and it lasts me for many, many months. I like the size of it and it’s easy for me to store. I’ve always been able to find just plain white in their gift packaging section. I avoid anything with glitter. Hope you are able to find some and thank you Ann!

Have you ever bought other types of film that has small spaces like bubble wrap. How much cheaper is that to fill them yourself? I bought a different machine than what you have and a bubble wrap film. It could not draw enough air in to fill the bubbles. I sent them both back. It was not a mini machine. I think your machine shows different films that it can fill.

Great video on the air machine I couldn’t quite grasp 1000 feet is gonna make 3000 pillows. How is that possible?

The pillows are 4x8”. Three pillows per foot of film. 👍

Not since months ago. I assume he’s still shipping the lower grade since others commented on that video acknowledging the same issues. We’re stocked up for many months. Not sure who I’ll order from next.

@@AvanteAvenue yes, I live in a small townhome complex and they are inside boxes, or get them from the post office. So it is not trash trash… same with the most of my packing materials. Obviously, I buy tape and tissue paper.

Vickie, on a different note, is there a change in wording and or descriptions on listing jewelry on ebay? For example, you can no longer say gemstone or use certain words like turquoise. Curious if there was an email or policy changes. Thanks so much!

Lots of changes since ebay merged categories: costume jewelry with high end precious stones and gold and silver. I’m no expert on it. There are lots of item specifics. I’m still figuring it out myself. Sorry, that I can’t be more help at this time.

I have been using my account and lost track of you all. I got some in a package that were branded air space and they popped at the slightest squeeze. but i think the plastic was a good quality, it was thick. i think the seal was not what it should be, that is where it failed. if you run it on the slower setting does it stay in the sealing function longer? would it seal better.

I encourage you to read my reply to the last comment to Janet about this. We have not had any issues with the air pillows popping. Pre-heating has helped with the sealing. Thanks!

@@AvanteAvenue i know you haven't had issues with popping, I was just commenting on the ones I got in a package from a different company. I mentioned the slow setting thinking it might help with those few that did not seal well.
