Her story makes me so sad. People can't judge if they haven't been severely abused since childhood. It leaves an imprint that is so deep, it is hard or impossible to overcome and it alters our thinking, behavior and whole thought process. Yes, some abused individuals do become productive adults, but people are different in their coping mechanisms and how their brain works. I also wish she would have had a caring adult to protect, guide and show her unconditional love. Every child deserves this, and it helps to set up a child for positive things and to help them make good decisions later in life. She was abused in every aspect of her life from little on, by friends, family and strangers. No wonder she became what she did, a killing machine. God Bless her and all the abused. May she rest in peace and may her choices not be accepted but understood

If men would say the same thing in supporting the man who killed 7 women, he would be socially castrated. Read her story and she had gone through terrible times but that does not justify her murdering 7 men. Remember most serial killers have a justification for their killing and yes many went through abuse, neglect, and troubled childhood but still they can't take that anger on someone else. Also, just a search on Wikipedia states she killed Charles Richard "Dick" Humphreys, age 56, retired U.S. Air Force Major, former state child abuse investigator, and former Chief of Police (date of murder: September 11, 1990). On September 12, 1990, his body was found in Marion County. He was fully clothed and had been shot seven times in the head and torso. His car was found in Suwannee County. Even if she killed even 1 innocent guy she deserved to rot in jail. Whatever happened to her was a tragedy but she was meant to be behind bars just like other serial killers.

@@xXDakota_GoldXxhe may have been cared for but having a dysfunctional mother and a weak father doesn’t set a good foundation for a stable individual especially with a combo of a weak father raising a son. From what I’ve read, his father spent most of the time working and enabling his mothers behavior instead of putting her in check when she was nonsensical just because. People aren’t born evil. When parents don’t prepare their children to face the world, the child is lost and doesn’t know how to deal as an adult if they make it to that age. Then, things get messed up. Granted, there are individuals who make it out successfully but not without scars (for example Richard pryer). Richard was one blessed soul to survive the way he did. Not everyone is so lucky unfortunately.

It's believable that out of all her customers in a year, she killed only 7 who allegedly were attacking her. Her crime was horrible. No questions asked. But I don't think she was evil. She's nowhere near Ted Bundy or Ed Kemper for example. She wasn't trying to fulfill a fantasy. She was a mentally broken person who got that way from consistent, intense and brutal abuse since childhood.
