The "Truth" ? The Perspective is here what matters. In the perspective from Ahsoka there is only Lie, from the Perspective of Maul it was a fraud and miss understanding of what he saw. The Problem with it is... There is no Real "Truth" anymore at the moment as the Republic got to war. There was no Turning back anymore. From that point on, there could no one save the Republic anymore. There where millions of People and some benefit from the Republic, even into the Galaktic Empire. So there is no Truth anymore. This is why Ashokas actions does not realy matter anymore. Even if the Jedi destroyed The Empire. There where always a Empire from that point on.

From what I've heard it was Maul's apprentice, not Maul himself. I honestly like the way Maul's story ends in Rebels, regardless to how much the show itself lacks comparing to the Clone Wars.

Maul would’ve taken the position of an Emperor type figure and his apprentice would’ve been the new “Vader” He was set to appear with “mechanical legs” and “become the godfather of crime in the universe because, as the Empire falls, he takes over.” “Darth Maul trained a girl, Darth Talon, who was in the comic books, as his apprentice,” Lucas added, “She was the new Darth Vader and most of the action was with her. So these were the two main villains of the trilogy.” The book also detailed how Carrie Fisher’s character Leia was set to turn into “The Chosen One”, letting Leia lead the sequel trilogy in the way that Luke led the original trilogy. The reason he decided to not go through with it in the end was because he was having a daughter at the same time and chose to spend time raising her instead and enjoying life instead of making another trilogy which I completely respect after how bad JJ and Rian’s trilogy was

@@TheFallofTheEleventh I am aware of the Leia Chosen One story. I think it would work perfectly, because it would tie the title to the Skywalker lineage as a whole (Anakin, Luke, Leia) as opposed to Disney's "Rey Palpatine is the Chosen One". But overall his ideas didn't fit. Ben killing Maul was a perfect ending for Maul, especially with Filoni's directing. Filoni created the phantom menace Lucas couldn't and completed that story in a rather poetic way. Also Skywalkers struggling for 30 years to rebuild the Republic doesn't make sense to me. Throwing new challenges at the hero is always good, but keeping old problem alive despite the celebratory ending of Return of the Jedi is a cop out as much as the Disney shenanigans.

I love how you made Ahsoka almost dizzy after she booted Maul out a window. It shows how much she had to concentrate to even keep up with him. He is by far her most skilled opponent that she has faced at this point.

@Spider-Flash To be fair, Ashoka isn't any jedi's padawan, she was Anakins padawan. Anakin is one of if not THE best duelists the Jedi have, whom constantly trained her. Not to mention the last three years of war would hone her skills, and she has fought Ventress and Grievous. Honestly combat wise she is probably better than most Jedi Knights. Maul had just escaped imprisonment and torture so he was most likely not at 100%. All of this and she still barely won the duel.

Just realized that it was at this moment that Darth Maul actually offered to save the Jedi Order, and Ashoka refused.

Fair enough, I think saying the Council became Self Righteous assholes is a bit to far. The Clone Wars weren't really a war that anyone in the Jedi Order agreed with, it was also unavoidable at this point due to the plans of Sidious and Dooku. The Jedi get so much crap for how the Republic fell and while I understand it, it takes away so much from how perfect the Sith plan really was.

There’s one critical distinction: Maul offered to destroy the Sith, not save the Jedi. They seem like similar goals, but in practice, they’re wildly different.

That is true. I am looking at it as Maul knew the Jedi were fated to end. He reached out in attempt to team up with Obi Wan to destroy the Sith, when Kenobi never showed he was ready to take it upon himself to destroy the Sith alone, but decided to recruit Ashoka (if Anakin showed up i really do believe Maul would have acted differently. More aggressive and probably would attack on sight) Maul didn't word for word say "Hey come save the Jedi with me and ill switch lightsaber colors" but he did knowingly seek a Jedi in an attempt to join forces to stop a more powerful Sith from completing the Sith dream (destroying the Jedi). Its pretty much the same thing as offering to save the Jedi

@@nickyson4life The Jedi counsel had they been true to the force like Qui gon they would've sensed the dark side and possibly the chancellor. Remember in the beginning of the Fantom Menace when Obi wan told Qui gon that he sensed something elusive when they were acting ambassadors?

Easily the best duel in The Clone Wars and almost best in the whole Skywalker Saga. ....You can't get better than Anakin vs Obi-Wan.

Every time i watch the scene where Maul gets thrown out of the window I'm really amazed by the fact that his lightsaber left its own hole. Just the level of detail always gets me for some reason.

I like how you made the music change as the fight changed from ahsoka getting her lightsaber back to them going up to the top. This was AMAZING!! You should be in charge if the fight scenes and trailers for Disney. Another great edit AD_edits, May the force be with you!!

She's fighting a Sith Lord who is channeling the rage of war around him. One of the most physically powerful Sith in the Clone Wars. It's not even contrived to believe she could stand a chance. Being the pupil of both Anakin and Obi Wan and having opponents like Grievous and Ventress throughout the war. Not to mention, the thousands of droids she's melted.

A siths training is only complete when they have surpassed and killed their master and taken on a new apprentice. Maul was actually never a sith lord. He was a failed apprentice like ashoka during this fight. Ashoka just completed her training a different way through many "masters". If Maul was actually anyones apprentice it was Obi-Wans. Maul was the most complex character. He was essentially the sith version of ashoka. He didnt fully believe in it after a while, its why hes speaking to her from a place of truth, the hypocrisy of it all. If Maul had a better master or if he had the chance to have just given up and had a Jedi master he wouldve become the level of Mace Windu status in strength as Mace was basically a sith with a jedi hood lmao

And he is not famous for his force powers. The man was at the height of his force abilities at this point of the series

Maul still wanted Ahsoka on his side to destroy Sidious, he didn’t want to kill her. He wanted to defeat her though, so he could for her to work with him to kill Palpatine, or something along those lines.

Overconfidence is definitely one of Maul's weaknesses. The other seems to be that he fails to mind his surroundings. Obi-Wan beat him in their first fight because he forgot about Qui-Gon's lightsaber, Ahsoka beat him here using the environmental factors and Kanan Jarrus later defeats him while blinded because he fails to consider the massive ledge that even a blind man could push him off if he isn't careful.

One of my favorite parts of this scene is how Ahsoka is out of breath after she throws Maul out the window. It reminded us that she hadn't fought like that in a while. Such a small, but fantastic, touch.

I Love the Dual of the Fates theme it fits the fight scene with Ahsoka & Darth Maul very well especially the way you added in the slow-motion effects was pretty cool ;)

This is such a different fight than other ones. You can see the realistic movment from mocap while still being immersed. Looks really good

This will forever be my favorite lightsaber fight in the franchise, as it isn't just a pretty spectacle, but a fight between 2 different ideologies and paths.

i like this bit when ahsoka says your lucky Anakin didn't show up the way your fighting you wouldn't lasted long also I love the fight of ahsoka and maul it's so good

@@0RY0N Aww :( I'm really hoping she will though. Ahsoka is my favorite Star Wars character so seeing her in live action and in the Mandalorian, which is one of my fav shows now, would be so great.

Best edit I've seen of this fight. 👏👏👏 Really liked the touch of slow motion in parts. Actually I wouldn't mind a completely slow motion version. To really see all the intricate choreography.

Another thing people often forget about this fight: Ahsoka would not have been at 100% because those were not her lightsabers, they are just 2 random lightsabers that Anakin gave to her. A Jedi's lightsaber is best when it contains a kyber crystal that chose them. Fighting with a lightsaber that is not your own is always going to be more difficult than fighting with your own, it's part of the reason why both Anakin and Obi-Wan got absolutely wrecked by Dooku in episode 2, they were using random lightsabers that were tossed to them when they were freed.

This is the most wrong thing I've read in some time, and it's easily detachable. First example, Anakain fighting Dooku better with the sword Obi-Wan gave him than with his own sword: kzread.info/dash/bejne/enVmy5qLqdXOcrg.html Dooku sweeping the floor with Obi-Wan has nothing to do with his sabre, Dooku swept the floor worse with him on EP III, at least on EP II Obi-Wan was able to put up some of a fight. As for Anakin, it was more difficult to get that lightsaber out of him than he had before, he fought a whole battlefield of super-battle droids and Dooku before lost it, he lost his original lightsaber by Zam Wesell blasters. In fact, since Anakin used her old design to make the news exactly equals and build it especially for her, and she felt emotial attached to them, there is probably not difference in any way. @@sorjonen8358 Guessing you haven't seen the episode where Ahsoka and Yoda take younglings to Ilum to get their lightsaber crystals. A kyber crystal chooses it's master, they are semi-sentient. If a person other than the Kyber crystal's rightful owner touches a Kyber crystal it is cold to the touch, but to the rightful owner the crystal seems to hum almost musically. A kyber crystal is colorless until it's rightful owner touches it the first time, it then bonds with that owner and changes in color to match the personality of it's true master. Ahsoka's bonded kyber crystals were green, but the sabers that Anakin gave her were blue. As far as I know that means they were not hers, last I heard the only way to change the color of a kyber crystal is to perform evil acts with it, which turns it red (how sith and dark jedi get their red blades), or too cleanse a kyber crystal of it's evil in a special ritual, which is how Ahsoka got her later white lightsabers, by cleansing 2 red kyber crystals she got from Inquisitors she defeated. It stands to reason that a Jedi or sith would fight better with their own bonded lightsaber crystal than with some other Jedi's lightsaber crystal. Sith can avoid that limitation by bending a lightsaber crystal to their own will over time (part of the bleeding process that turns them red), and it's presumably possible that a Jedi could bond with a crystal that is not their own slowly over time, improving their connection with it, but Ahsoka wouldn't have had time to bond with those blue crystals in the sabers that Anakin gave her, that story arc took place over just a few days.

@@shikamaru317 This is just over exaggeration at this point for Ahsokas advantage, if it would be true how much performance loss would she suffer? I doubt more than 1-2%

IKR. f*Cking Mary Sue ass Rey. Like ok, she's the grand daughter of creamy Sheev. Doesn't mean that she needs no training. Fuc*ing Anakin trained for 10 years yet he got his ass handed to him by Dooku
