The Ahsoka at Ryloth was more like young Ahsoka ('someday'), not the old Ahsoka experiencing Ryloth all over again. The writing kind of threw me off there. But anyway, why do you think that is? What was Filoni's intention/s?

Some people say it’s a cheap fan service grab, but this was a perfect continuation of Ashoka’s character arch. Her getting to see Anakin and move on from her past, leading to live again and finishing her training, it was beautiful.

People saying it's cheap fan service are not fans of Star Wars or anything. They just want to cripe and try to ruin everything for everyone who enjoys great story telling. In my opinion it's the best thing I've seen in Star Wars since Rebels and Clone Wars. It's definitely better than the Rey movies.

Yes! Anakin has alwasy been my fav. This gave me some peace to see Anakin as he was. I didn't like his transition to Vader. I always felt that he was forced into an extreme and dark role because he had no choice. But, he was never evil or self-serving as a person. Anakin was emotional and more of an Empath (like many of us) who wanted justice without the BS of the Jedi bureaucracy. Anyway, I liked Hayden Christensen back in this role. I think Anakin needs another look as a series.

Because Anakin references his battle with Luke and that he didn’t remember the siege of Mandalore, this is not a manifestation of the force or a projection from Ahsoka’s subconscious but is actually Anakin in the astral plane, the World Between Worlds, completing his obligation as Ahsoka’s master and helping complete her training.

This was great! That scene inside the purrgil with Ahsoka and Huyang where she responds to Huyang’s “It could go anywhere!” with Ahsoka’s “I know…but that’s better than going nowhere” and her ear to ear grin…this scene reminded me and was symbolic so much of the interactions we often saw Ahsoka have with Anakin where she questioned his plan and he would casually reply with a grin something similar to what Ahsoka did with Huyang here. Captain Rex modded his New Phase 2 Helmet and welded parts of the Phase 1 to make his own custom helmet. On Ryloth he had just the Phase 1 helmet on Mandalor he has his custom modded one. Likewise he didn't wear the orange and blue 332nd Helment in battle either so it wasn't them being lazy it was them paying close attention to detail.

Nah idk about that, Grogu's reaction doesn't really ring with recognition like it would have if that were true, especially not with the way that he goes to seek comfort in Djarin's lap. It looks/sounds more like awe and a tiny bit of fear ("since when do giant whale things fly outside in hyperspace?!"), and at the same time a longing for the "pod"/family feeling seeing them flying together

Great work with these breakdown episodes. One thing I caught was at 38:20 in the episode Ahsoka and Huyang are looking at the whales, and Huyang points out the big one, and Ahsoka responds "Yeah, that will do". To me that was a call out to Han Solo in Empire asking Chewie to go closer to the big Asteroid and saying "Yeah... that'll do nicely" and then fly into the mouth of a space worm (which foreshadows Ahsoka flying into the mouth of the whale minutes later). Just thought that was a cool connection to the original trilogy.

I LOVE the part where Ahsoka asked Anakin why are they back at in their first Clone Wars mission (battle of Ryloath), Anakin’s reply: You tell me~ It goes showing subconsciously that it was Ahsoka’s mind (or the Force) in lead, taking her to the timeline where she needed the console most! Anakin’s teaching to Ahsoka about their legacy also mirrors what Jiang Na shared to Shang Chi: You are a product of all who came before you. The legacy of your masters, the good and the bad, it’s all a part of who you (Ahsoka) are.

I like to think Anakin has assumed a role akin to the Father as a form of penance and fulfillment of his role as the Chosen One. The Father had expressed hopes Anakin would take over his position, and the Father represented balance between the Light and Dark, which are the two sides of Anakin we see in this duel.

So a little correction at 12:24, these flashbacks actually visit 3 different locations. The first is on Teth which we see after the battle of christophsis in the clone wars movie. It was one of their first missions as referenced by Ahsoka here and there is a bigger nod to that due to the reddish purple fog. When they run into battle, into the fog, you see it begin to change into a more yellow orange environment which is when we switch to the battle of ryloth

Jacen notice that the waves sounds/feels like lightsabers clashing. Hera goes to listen as well, but she is not a "force" user. Was Jacen feeling what happened through the force and "linked" his mother to the feeling? Or is Seatos strong in the force and people there can tap into it by just being there? I personally like the first idea. Jacen's unique force power is to connect people together.

For the first time since possibly the end of Return of the Jedi, the Force finally again feels that beautiful emotional spirituality. In RotJ the Force feels almost sacred and spiritual when Luke, fully coming into his role as Jedi Knight, tells the Emperor “you’ve failed your Highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me.” Like that feeling of something welling up inside of you. Not quite bringing tears, but almost there. We got two moments of that in this episode. When Jacen said “no. The lightsabers,” and you get the swell of John Williams “Force theme.” And then at the end with Ahsoka and the Purgill.

The music through out this episode was epic, so good. Ahsoka is very good at disarming saber wielders when she's unarmed, she did it to Maul, an inquisitor, and now to Anakin Vader. Also Anakin exhibits his arrogance and gets disarmed the same way Kenobi disarmed him in the flash back live action scene.

The use of camera angle during the conflict between Anakin and Ahsoka was also beautiful! The camera always looked down on Rosario Ahsoka when they were talking until the very end. After Anakin steps away when she chooses life, it cuts back to Ahsoka and the camera slowly moves to being level with her.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention the nods to Empire Strikes Back. The dialog between Ahsoka and Huyang as they approach the purrgils is very close to Han and C3P0's when Han wants to get "closer to one of the big ones". The purrgil closing its mouth around them is very similar to the mouth of the asteroid-dwelling space slug closing as Han and crew make their escape.

While re-watching Rebels S2E18 it seems the World between Worlds (wolf portal presented to Kanan into the training grounds & Ezra's vision) was teased early. Kanan Jarrus was even presented with his own "complete your training" when battling Temple Guard.
