    That's incredible how prolific Mr. Ahmad is. He's making albums while most of the jazz musician of his generation are resting in peace. Amazing dedication to the craft of music!

    I'm 80 years old, and this man was one of the first three recordings I owned (it was also the ONLY one that sounded like real hi-fi on my cheap record player, kudos to the mixing/mastering folks! And he STILL sounds FANTASTIC. I still play his arrangement on Poinciana (and never close to as well.)

    As you said " he had at his age 2-3 times more of energy" because music/notes hanging in the air have infinite energy. His brain / in a way vibrates soo high ( I'd call it eupharia) that it exchanges energy with invisible energy of the sounds . Not like sun & world. Both of them are almost sun. This is not delta. This is theta stage. So, the exchange of energy back & forth is infinite till the world( his body) is no longer to emit receive due to organs shutting down. The brain of such musicians rule the
