RapMon definitely didn't ghost write -- their styles are so different, RapMon raps from the head and Suga just spills his guts everywhere. If you saw the lyrics translated (which is available on the vids if you turn on CC) you'll see that Suga's lyrics are all incredibly personal. The style he shows in Agust D is also pretty similar to his style in Cypher Pt 2 and 3. Actually, the mix tape should really be viewed as a whole work, rather than a collection of individual raps. That may be what is throwing you off. The mixtape starts out with a lot of bravado and then as the songs evolve his greed, anger, depression all start to evolve and he definitely makes a lot of specific choices in his rap style to go with the emotion and lyrical content.

+Alexa Planje I think it's more than 4 but less than 10. Maybe he didn't produce all of the ones I'm thinking of but had a large part in creating? Jump, Let Me Know, Dead Leaves, Tomorrow , Fun Boys, Intro: Never Mind are ones he produced. And if he isn't credited as the producer, he's often in credited in the lyrics or music. I'm just trying to say that compared to the other members of BTS he has more experience

well i am not sure how many exactly, but i can name right away at least 5 songs he produced - tomorrow, jump, let me know, boys with fun, intro nevermind (he actually participated in production of fire too). And dont neglect the fact the rap line maybe not produce each song but participate in all their rap lyrics writing.

he wrote AND produced his whole mixtape himself (of course with the assistance of a bighit producer Pdogg here and there but it was HIS work and production and lyrics) thats why we were waiting soo long for his mixtape... he is such a perfectionist that he didnt feel like it was good enough and ready until now... This mixtape is really self written and produced AND its free he released it for himself and as a gift to his fans. he poured his whole heart and soul into producing his mixtape just like Rap Monster did... i really admire them so much their skills are amazing (not to meantion also J-hope... he is working on his mixtape too...CANT WAIT)

Give it to me is more lyrical and it is seriously deep as well as the other songs on the mixtape and this song is more showing off his rap skills and his production skills. They other songs talk about his mental illnesses his struggles leading up to this and if you read the lyrics and listen to "the last" then you'll see what I'm saying. He has actually writes a lot of bts songs. This mixtape was his way to open up to the world, I seriously doubt that he would be satisfied with his work and it wouldn't feel as if it was his if rap monster had written a song for him. Rap monster actually wouldn't write something like this seeing as he tends to like simpler beats and less of a complex chorus (which isn't a bad thing, just an observation). Of the songs that Suga has produced it is usually the exact opposite and the distinction is quite clear

I think Give it to Me was kind of an epilogue to this MV. Give it to me comes after this. It's a mixtape, it's a story of his life. Life flows in different ways. He's been working on this for two years. It's Suga/Agust D's work.

SUGA has at least as much rap experience as Rap Monster. He produces a lot of BTS's songs. He is legit. The rap line work together and help each other but SUGA and Rap Mon have the most influence on BTS's sounds.

Well Agust D was like a announcement. That was the song he started his mixtape out with because it was a straight up announcement of here I am, this is what I can do, these are my skills as a rapper. As far as Give It To Me, it was very freestyle, though I think that may have been on purpose based on what he was trying to say? One of his other songs At Dawn is like that in feeling too. He plays with his flow a lot by pairing it with what he's saying if that makes sense. For example his track 724148, you get a whole new appreciation for the song and his flow in it when you understand his lyrics (it's satirical, sharp, witty). I'd really like to recommend his song The Last, which *needs* to be heard with the lyrical translation. He went above and beyond on that song imo so I hope you check it out. It's very dark, but it's another example of how he uses his flow to convey a certain type of feeling or emotion. This is wholly him (he produced, even did the mastering, and wrote the entire mixtape) his main aspirations are to be a producer but he's been rapping since he was 13 in the K-Underground, so he knows what he's doing lol. I think him and RM are just very different stylistically, a lot of his work is more raw and laid-back, though I do think RM is more versatile/proficient when it comes to skill set. These are all just my opinions and take on things so I could very well be wrong lol but I'm glad you enjoyed the song! Thank you for the reaction and your unbiased opinion!

he ripped that ... yes. thats what he did for the last 5 yrs to write a songs. I bet he had tons of lyrics rite now. and dedicate himself for 2 yrs to write his own Mixtapes. but what had me amazin. the way he opened up about himself to the world, is what makes him the bravest person artist that I know. and yes, he is an artist.

His mixtape is one were you have to read the lyrics for the songs to hit you with the full impact. I personally like Give It To me better just because the lyrics hold so much more meaning. Agust D is incredible too don't get me wrong, but compared with some of the other songs such as The Last, it pales in comparison. The lyrics can be so raw with emotion that you have to reread it a few times just to comprehend just how personal it all was. No hate at all towards this reaction video, I would just really recommend reading the lyrics for his songs if you end up reacting to more. It'd also be cool for you to read the lyrics on your own time for all of his songs because this mixtape really is a work of art.

I agree with this. Agust D reminds me a lot of what RM did with Joke. Where basically it was just a resume of his skill set rather than anything meaningful lyric-wise. Don't get me wrong, the songs aren't the same but I think the idea behind them kind of is.

Honestly speaking he is very diverse and if you look at his full mixtape all the songs have different feels to them. So it's really hard to pin point what type of style he has per say. Like Namjoon, he was part of the underground community, but as a producer/rapper before debuting as an idol. Since he helps a lot in the production of their(BTS) music ranging from ballad and hardcore I think in terms of skills it helped him grow as an artist thus becoming very versatile. -This is not just Agust D but, for RM as well. His word play and ways he plays with the beat is another indication of his growth. Namjoon had said in their fan cafe that Sugas mixtape wasn't really his style ,but he liked it. Asking fans to give lot of love and support. -As you Probably know by now Everyone is in love with The Last track #7 on the mixtape because he opens up to fans about his mental illness and his greed for success. Also asking fan not to worry about him that he is doing better now. It makes you look at him in a different perspective(for people who thought he was just lazy, arrogant, rude etc). He doesn't seem like an idol or Celebrity, but you see him as a friend opening up about things that have been troubling him.

Suga wrote the whole mix tape, he took around two years in fact to drop it. The styles do varry, esp if you listen to the whole mix tape, but it also changes as he delves into different aspects of himself. He does do his bragging tracks and his attacks but also in others goes into mental health issues and other things so the tone is vastly different. He also has a very different style from Rap Monster. I think someone even mentioned in the comments for one of the two music videos that Rap Monster himself even said it's not his style but likes it, or something to that effect. Suga was an underground rapper before joining BTS, in an "interview" where rapper BFree attempts to rip into him and Rap Monster it was mentioned and Suga even mentions selling music he wrote. But one BTS song, I think it's Tomorrow, he wrote while a trainee. He also wrote a track in forty minuets that is one one of their albums. He is known to stay up late, coming back home early in the morning, as he spends his time producing and working on his music. Link here has a bit of insight, it's a fairly recent interview he did about the album: omonatheydidnt.livejournal.com/18704457.html

Actually he's been working on the mixtape for a long time. He said there were some songs he made like 2 years ago, and others that he finished just before he released the mixtape. So maybe that explains the difference between the songs. And he wanted to try different things.

Yoongi's (Agust'D) style in rap is just very versatile. One second he can rap in a chill tempo enough to suit a love song, then the next time he's spitting fire and like the Mohammed Ali of Korean rappers. He 100 percent wrote this song and all the songs himself in the mixtape by himself. He's very passionate in his music and I know he wrote the lyrics and produced everything. Rapmon has a different style in his lyrics. Like I can tell Yoongi's way with words are different than Rapmonster. This is definitely something Yoongi would write. Also, check out the cyphers if you havent already if you dont know that Yoongi is fire.

Rapmon is poetic, Suga is soul. You can identify Rapmon because the way he writes is poetic and vague, has a lot of pressure on him for various reasons but rarely bares his deepest worries. Suga is bare and vulnerable, he's not afraid of showing his wounds and the way he writes songs is always personal and specific. In BTS songs you can see that when the lyrics are in metaphors or mentioned in 3rd person it's probably Rapmon who wrote it whereas if the music is somber and personal, sometimes with a hint of anguish its probably Suga that wrote that.

He didn't get any help with this. Each song has a deeper meaning with the lyrics and he maybe felt that rapping slower in Give It To Me was more important for the lyrics. I would check out The Last, it's really emotional. He doesn't have a sick flow as he did in Agust D but it's more about the message and the rapping is still amazing. Anyway, good reaction!

So its obviously why he put this as a title in his mixtape. Suga writes and produces all of the song himself with a little help of Pdogg. The reason why you think give it to me is not as hardcore as this bcuz every single song in the mixtape is a different story about his past. He said that he has arranged and selected all songs in the right order by himself. So not every song is about spit fire and bars etc. While rapmon's style is kinda like laidback and chill with rnb then Suga's is more agressive and emotional. Consider to the skill and technique i think Rapmon is a little bit better but Suga has better delivery and feel, even if you dont understand what he say at first you will still figure out the feeling and emotional of the song (sorry english is not my first language)

I think you've had the wrong impression on Sugas mixtape. He writ and produced the whole mixtape himself and if you read the lyrics you'd know that. Not every single song is supposed to hit hard like Agust D. The beginning of Suga's mixtape starts of as really aggressive with his typical "fuck the haters" message. However later on it gets more person as he talks about his life struggles in songs like 'The last'. The mixtape was a way for him to express himself. Not every rap song has to 'hit hard' for it to be considered great.

I don't think he meant it trying to be insulting :) and he later takes back what he said as unfair and I get where he was coming from. Don't forget, a lot of people don't know Yoongi the way we do as fans, so we have to see where people are coming from when they don't have that perspective. It's hard not to defend, I know, because we know his struggles but if he's interested he'll get to know him as an artist, if not that's alright too but at least he gave his songs a listen and that's all we can ask :D

You should've listened to this son first, and then Give it to me. Because really Give it to me is what happens after Agust D.

I felt the same (not that RM ghost wrote it cuz they're so damn different in lyrical style but) that he didn't go hard at all for "Give it to me". It really confused the hell out of me. Lucikly I listened to this one first and thought it was lit. Tbh, the only two songs on his mixtape that I really like, would be this one and "Far away". That's only 2 out of 10 songs tho... :S I'm still confused tho, because from what I've seen before he can do incredibly well. I dunno, maybe he just didn't wanna give a fuck, maybe he just wanted to put out whatever was on his mind? That's my best guess...

What's wrong with you, people? Why does it always has to be sth fast?? It's so lame! Nobody cares about emotions, lyrics, mood etc. "It was slow flow! What's wrong with him?" NO. The question is what's wrong with you. "Give it to me" is no less as fire as "Agust D".

Well, that's also your personal opinion, just like I have mine. Far Away is definitely the most emotional song on the mixtape and it was my favorite. Because I do care about emotions and lyrics more than you would probably know. You don't know me, so commenting that I don't care about something is just a stupid thing to do. Also, commenting on one person, me, and asking what's wrong with "you people" is just really rude and quite ignorant. Just because one song receives criticism doesn't mean that everyone that critiques it are wrong. Nor does it mean that the song itself is bad - it simply means those people don't happen to like the song. Everyone has their personal taste and opinion. I have been a rap and hiphop lover since early 2000's but this simply didn't appeal to me, this song. I don't know why you're coming out so aggressively when my comment was anything but that, but please learn when to argue with someone and when to simply have a conversation instead.
