Saw Agnes last night at the Astor Theatre, Perth, Western Australia. She was jet-lagged and one of her band had tonsillitis. Neither impaired the quality of the performance. First class music. She received a standing ovation from the enthusiastic West Aussie audience. Thank you for coming to Perth with your band Agnes. It was a magical evening of wonderous music.

What saved me from death was my ability to recognize beauty, that I seen in myself, then others, then the world. Now you, and this which you share, oh how fortunate I am! Thank you sis.

For my sins, I have only just discovered Agnes. I know shame on me. Enjoying my discovery immensely!

I recently discovered Agnes Obel and these amazingly talented artists. They compose and perform some of the most beautiful and technically perfect music I can remember. And considering I grew up with the masters, enjoy all genres, and sat as a 1st chair clarinetist for many years with a brief dive into guitar, it is hard to describe their ability to take some simple and basic scales and twmpos and produce such extraordinary output. Truly a find of my lifetime!

Transcending ! I have decided that I am going to travel to Europe just to listen to this wonderful and talented people once at least - From India ❤️

As I have grown older my thirst for music has dwindled to the point where I hardly listen to it anymore. But this… this…I don’t know what to say. I have shivers and that hasn’t happened for a long time! Pure emotion, I’d almost forgotten that I have this capacity to feel… thank you for this gift.

Dorian expresses something very deep in my heart and mind that I couldn't find the words for myself. It makes me cry as well, as I listen mesmerized by the perfection. Riverside does the same thing, it unhinges emotions long ago buried. All of her music is exquisite, but those two songs have a very deep meaning for me.

Even at 70 yrs old she will stay beautyfull woman.

Love to know the answer to that I discovered been aired Herriman way back in 1963 and it seems as though what he created has been living in the hearts and The Souls of so many artists of your caliber from that time forward until now and we'll probably be there in the hearts and souls of all artists for many many many many years to come which creates more Rivers more tributaries and more of the most beautiful music ever written... Thank you for being who you are Agnes Obel you are truly and forever one of a kind.. Wish you would come to the United States again someday and play everything you've ever written in the longest concert ever experienced. Okay here is the 19th comment.. just another most delectable wonderful to listen to performance.. the only misgiving is that others who know nothing about a period of melodic indulgence.. should never be disrupted by commercials or interruptions of the experience... These forward traveling experience of performance by Agnes obel should not be interrupted during the performance.. truly wish the advertisements would stop whomever is controlling these posts. Same, Dorian has a strange effect on me, maybe because I just went through a devastating and difficult seperation. So she (Obel) is now my musical obsession, and I feel good, she helped me to move on. I literally discovered Obel right after my breakup, a gift of sorts :)

@@scottboyd3838 oh.. i am very sorry for your separation, i went through a different situation but with the same feeling when i met agnes obel. it always becomes my seasonal music obsession when there's a sudden change in my life, like the transition from high school to college, and when my dad passed away. i understand when you say she was a kind of gift, his songs are like a comforting hug.

Have been listening to her since last August, song here, song there. And then her beautiful song 'Fuel to Fire' was played at the end of The Last of Us, episode 5 recently. And have heard that's not an anomaly, she had a song in the German Netflix show Dark and had a crucial song in the series Euphoria. She's definitely playing in the collective unconscious of t.v creators etc. And just listening, you see why, her music plays like adult nursery rhymes and words are used to convey so many thoughts and images.

I saw Agnes and her band yesterday at 013 Tilburg. A perfect venue. The sound was just perfect. And the band.. wow.. mesmerizing. Such an experience. This version of The Beast is just perfect.

The sound design of this performance is very well done. Yesterday i went to a live concert of Agnes in de Bostheater in Amsterdam and the way the sound was designed, was absolutely terrible. Every instrument and voice was competing over each other. The subtle harmony of Agnes' music was completely lost. I hope to see here live again, where the sound matches the quality of the compositions and studio record performances.
