Baltsa is a wonderful singer. Love her!!!!!
The best concert, composed by WAM, area played by two geneous Gulda and Agness.
Truly amazing performance of my favourite aria! Thank you for posting!!
Agnes Baltsa is amazing! Increíble.....
absolutely exellent
Ti adoro Frederic ti ho sempre amato and a good surprise from Agnes.
Marvalous recording, full of life with an improvisatory feeling. How strange at the end when Gulda started applauding the orchestra before they finished. I was quite startled.

Wonderful.
Masterfully executed. K 505 - Amadeus "variation" Soler and J.C.Bach: "Sventurata, in van mi legno" for soprano, 2 horns and orchestra (2 flutes, strings). 1783 the Austrian Emperor Joseph II founded a new opera company specialising in Italian opera buffa. Storace performed in 20 operas during her stay in Vienna. Angelica in Vicente Martín y Soler's "Il burbero di buon cuore". Soler "Una cosa rara"; Countess in Salieri's "La scuola de' gelosi"; Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro"...There are a few comments about her voice, but only when she sang Sler's operas and not Mozart's - Count Karl von Zinzendorf: "I find the duo between Mandini and Storace so tender and so expressive that it poses a danger to the young members of the audience. One needs to have had some experience in order to see it with a cool head" ("Una cosa rara" duet). The representatives of music turned a deaf ear when Mozart said "Bravo - Una cosa rara" in "Don Giovanni"; they should have explained to us, presented, why Mozart said that. Instead, they forgot Soler's operas. 1786, 1787 Mozart and Salieri did went bankrupt, their operas were performed only 2 times each; Soler came and cleaned them with a broom, his operas were performed 100 times in 19 countries, translated into 9 languages. Soler: Una cosa rara (1786); Soler: "Il burbero di buon cuore" (1786); Soler: "L'arbore di Diana" (1787).
More Baltsa please!:D

Cecilia Bartoli˙s rendition of this aria is the best and its not hard to admit even though I am not a Bartoli-fan, but she sang it so extremely good, that its above any discussion. Baltsa sang it very well, its a pleasure to listen to, the only pitty is that she was sick here and could not give it the 100 percent she would have given on a good day, but still a very nice performance. Gulda is as usual - himself, extravagant, but a passionate musician and someone really special. I would, though, tone it down a bit, cause sometimes he crossed the limit with his free-spirited attitude. Its so funny how at the and he simply pushes Baltsa forwards (as if she was a child..) so she could bow and be applauded at. :-)
