    I love Kingsman fights cause they give characters unique fighting styles. Harry is very precise, refined movements, usually just enough to dodge a hit and he tends to redirect punches into others as well. Eggsy has a very acrobatic fighting style, usually moving fast and doing sick jumps and amazing kicks. Whiskey fights like a really skilled guy in a bar fight, making use not just of his weapons, but also picking up stuff like pans and random knives to throw. In the new Kings Man movie, Rasputin fights like a Russian Ballet dancer, like this stuff is so over the top, but it’s also just crazy fun to watch and is some wonderful attention to detail.

  • @Blyegh

    @Blyegh

    Dance-fighting has been used in a few cultures. The styles were not popular because of the likelihood of any practitioner making it out in one piece, but they were used as a way to either distract opponents or to be less predictable than someone with a more widely known martial art style. Rasputin’s fighting style in the movie was actually accurate to what fighting style he borrowed from.

    And some of us are just tanks. Willing to take the hits to dish out the damage. I admit I’m beefy and kinda slow. I’ve taken this into account plus I’m left handed primarily so I’m almost always going to score a big hit. Everyone had a fighting style that they choose to use from experience or that suits them.

His girlfriend could have just as easily been killed in an armed robbery committed by non drug users, or killed in a mall shooting. That's the problem with trying to eliminate everyone for the actions of one or a few. Unless you're going to go full Thanos/2nd solution then you're still stuck with humans being human. People like you make the same asinine argument against gun control saying "There's no need, people need to follow self control", yet how many actually use them wisely? Plethora of evidence shows gun related deaths are mostly seen in areas with the least gun laws in US. Also, bringing anomalies or exceptions to the norm don't invalidate a pattern. But then I watch something with them in it, suddenly their faces are filled in. Tati Gabrielle is my best example. Watched *The 100* a few times and always saw her character, but never could remember her face. Suddenly I watch Sabrina on Netflix, her face magically appears when I watch the 100 again. Funny thing.

    To be fair, he had both of his signature weapons. That lasso's busted af whilst Eggsy and Harry were practically unarmed. Along with that, Eggsy is not as experienced as Whiskey and you could say Harry was a bit rusty with how long he had been out of commission. The way I see it, had it been pre-amnesia Harry vs Whiskey both with their weapons of choice. It could've been a very even fight.

    I thought that too at first but actually it's harder for two people to fight one person in sync but they pulled it off because they were well trained. As it pertains to Whiskey 1v1ing, Eggsy is faster and Harry is a veteran so I think even if they were going solo they could have beat him.

  • @calebh3632

    @calebh3632

    Not really a fair comparison. Eggsy and Harry are at this point exhausted. They're both coming off of a major firefight and two boss fights, one that had Eggsy getting tossed around like a limp noodle and Harry running for his life from an unstoppable robot dog TWICE. On top of this, they're effectively both unarmed, scrounging half-empty weapons from the environment while Whiskey is entirely refreshed and using his signature loadout. Given the situation, the fact that they won at all is insane, and it's only possible with how well they work together. One of my favorite things about this fight is that there's never a moment of somebody standing around. Eggsy and Harry work in perfect harmony, and there's never a moment where they're both fighting and not overwhelming Whiskey. Like when Harry is shuffling with Whiskey and Eggsy comes in with the tackle from behind.

    I appreciate that Whiskey has a point, and it goes from the lady trying to make all drugs legal is wrong, but the guy who wants to make all drug users die is also wrong. Because it shows that Poppy is still fucking evil despite wanting to jog the economy and regulate and tax drugs, but at the same time she holds millions of people hostage. And at the same time, Whiskey is right, drugs kill thousands and ruin the lives of thousands more, perhaps millions of lives in the past decades. But they’re both wrong, the film makes a point to show that the people who smoke some weed or tale ecstasy aren’t evil people all the time, and someone smoking weed isn’t the same as a guy robbing a gas station for more heroin. (Yeah the movie isn’t super deep and is basically a cartoon but this was a good storytelling choice)

    How'd whiskey get the bullwhip / lasso back in his hand after he lost it in the beginning of the fight on the outside of the bar, but then magically had it on this inside of the bar?

    @@crank7283 it wasn’t the same whip. If it was, he could have easily turned it electric when it was around Eggsy’s neck and he pretty much woulda been screwed.
