Oh man I've been itching to see more FEC battle reports. You guys are definitely the top AOS batrep channel out there rn. Looking forward to it! Edit: SPOILER What an incredible display by our noble summer king! The way he gracefully danced amongst the dishonorable barbarians that sought to strike him down with numbers after he clearly challenged those knights to a one-on-one duel. The way he parried the strikes of the hideous manticore rider, and heroically struck down the enemy marshal with a decisive thrust. Surely there is no king quite so fair and courageous as our own!

Very nicely painted Cavalier army for Cities of Sigmar The new FEC models are all nice too When they first came out in AoS, I wasn't really sold on anything about the FEC (lore, army concept, you name it) They have kinda grown on me over time and I really like they got a Wave 2 of releases with their new Battletome

Thank you, I picked a paint scheme in my head that was going to be simple and then it took way more time then i thought to execute it properly lol. painting all those diamonds white just to get the decals on there too forever. I also agree with you about fec. At first i was very meh about them but after the new wave of heroes and models and painting them up i have a certain amount of love for the glorious knights

Just started with Age of Sigmar, use to play original Warhammer in early 2000’s. Your Battle Reports have really helped me understand 3.0, with new edition around corner can’t wait to see more.

7/9 5+ Ward saves was absolutely insane.... You bully Dave haha! Mind I was using my Troggherd the other night and I barely failed a single ward save either.... I felt so dirty.

i went back and checked it would have saved me 2 damage. i did forget it but Daves whiffed the first around of attacks and then wounded well on the second. I remember it during the battle with Ushoran the SummerKing

I thoroughly enjoy FEC! Not Michael's favorite faction to play against tho lol

I'm not sure if it has been pointed out already or if it was just the way you explained it around the 21 min mark but Usheran's spell makes a "model" attack with 1 melee weapon (not the whole unit)

Im new to the game and me and my buddy play this match all the time. My only army is FEC, his is cities of sigmar. I always feel like the battles are way in my favor because he just cant lift my units and they just keep coming back. Probably needs some balancing.

FEC does appear to be a challenging matchup for cities. But to be fair its a challenging matchup for most armies right now

If only Cities units were as tough as they look. And yes Dave is a bully for that ward roll. He gave you hope then took it all away.

Thank you for the kind words. Michael puts in alot of effort so that these models are as nice as can be for your viewing pleasure.

Imo CoS are too fragile without a ward, that's why I always play Zenestra, she's a great support piece and can deal some mortals in the combat also. Sad to see those rolls for Cities... Great battle report anyway, always happy to see someone's playing CoS.

Zenestra does fix that problem that they have. My original list included her but i thought that was too mean....oops

This comment just busted me up. I think about the how to roll dice you wrote for me a while back. I study it like an adept learning the ways but sometimes i fall back into old habbits and my contempt for the dice

Those ward saves from FEC were insane at a couple vital moments

They are good, but beatable. Michael toned down his subfaction, had he taken Lethis and a Pontifex, I think he could have easily beaten this list. Any army that cannot remove foot heroes will struggle against FEC :)

So gw says when they ask what top influencers and players would change they say "I don't know but please do not take away our double turns!" Does that sound like an actual human interaction? Are you "fiercely loyal" to the double turn as gw propaganda states? Everyone should cancel the double turn.

Well GW has never asked us. I can tell you that david and i Both enjoy the double turn interactions. I wouldn't say i (michael) am "fiercely loyal" to the double turn. I love warhammer that could be old world, sigmar, 40k, kill team or warcry they are all great games that i love to play with my friends. I am here to paint mini's and roll dice. I'll keep doing that regardless of the double turn or not

Watching this i cringed at most tactical decision the city player made. Even if his dice were better the outcome would have been the same

The command core should have been on the front line, they would have been able to heal units this way. (saving some of the units there were barely whipped out), and it good at fighting, and your best screen, so you can CC into thing charging it. Taking all the points turn 1 would help force FEC to spread out, allowing the cav to get a juice long charges, or counter charges. So you can take out the heroes. Turn Heroic action could have been an unbind with the griffon and/or if taken the first point with CC or5 man units of cav as screens. You would stop magic dom. If you go first, Always move up to stop magical dom. Moving units needs to be closer, and keeping heroes with”3 for order, and counter charge lanes. Talia need to be a close front and in combat as much as possible. Got some lucky counter charges. Should not have picked surround and destory T2 battle tactic, the limited what he can engage with. Or don’t engage the horror. Don’t need to Finest hour the marshal, that is better with Counter charge on him, or knights how many you have. When pulling dead cav, should pull the ones next to the unit that hasn’t fought yet, so the FEC knights can’t attack/ or attack in full strength, cities is all about micro pile in and move, to get the most out of order.

Hey Jeremy I apologize for the delay in response I didnt see the notification for this comment. Thanks for taking the time to write out such a thoughtful detailed response. Michael is learning the cavilers list and your comments certainly pick on some critical areas. One thing we realized is that the list is as you said alot of micro management. For more technical than if first appears on paper
