Age of Fantasy: Skirmish by One Page Rules - Campaign Turn 1
Ойындар
One Page Rules offers a rules-lite alternative for every major fantasy and science fiction game on the market. Age of Fantasy: Skirmish gives us a light small-unit battle game that also allows for additional campaign modules to be added on. Having printed up some Archvillain models to throw down; Mike brings in his forces and rules so we can try out the Campaign Modules as well!

Hooray for an old school quick Ash shoulder cam battle report. Perfect snack size.
OPR campaign! Lets go!
Love to see some OPR! I am running the Gang Wars version with my gaming group. Would really like to see/hear your thoughts on Gang Wars as a potential future video series. On a side note, @16.40 the "Big Tusker" with Tough only fails his roll on a 8+. Pg 14 of the rules: This model only rolls to check for wound effects once it has taken at least X wounds, and is only Knocked Out on rolls of 5+X or more. Example: A model with Tough(3) only rolls for wound effects once it has taken 3 wounds or more, and is Knocked Out on rolls of 8+
Really cool. I started my son into fantasy gaming with an old OPR ruleset called Warstuff (basically like OPR from it's beginning, where units only had Quality, that also functioned as Defense), and hope to graduate him to AoF: Skirmish soon.
Good game, looks like a fun little campaign system
Love me some OPR, you should play regiments, it is quite a bit more fun than Old World imho
Great seeing OPR!
Good stuff! I look forward to round 2👍
Am I right in thinking that you don’t check wound effects for models with Tough(X) until they have (X) number of wound counters? For example a Tough 3 model could take a single wound and not have to check.

That's how I play it.

Yup that's correct.

That is correct. I mentioned it with the entire rule in the other OPR:S game Ash did. It also adjusts the die roll needed to take someone out. ie, a thing with Tough 6 is not auto KOed when it gets to 6 wounds.
Is that a 4' x 4' board? Looks like a fun campaign this :) OWLBEAR and penguins, what could go wrong...

Curious about the size of the board as well. Kinda hoping that OPR uses a 3x3 board...mostly because that would fit on my dining table, without the need for additional boards on top...
I love opr for army games but havent tried the skirmish yet. Imo army games should be simple but the intamacy of skirmish allows for much more complexity. Still o want to try opr skirmish
My man - thank you for posting this. I've been looking at OPR stuff for awhile but difficult to find anyone playing it outside of the sci-fi mass battles ruleset. Question: you've played so many different games and systems on your channel... can you recommend a solid minis agnostic ruleset for modern or possibly "early" sci-fi skirmish combat? I'm printing some Metal Slug STLs and would like to play a game with 'em. Thank you sir.

Victory Decision: Future Combat is a good company level one!
You can see this game system is all about spending more time looking at the miniatures / battlefield than the rules themselves. It helps for immersion, but I always wondered how the campaign rules work on "long term play" for that matter. I guess it's more intended for players to build their own campaign system more to their liking, like adding random tables alike to Mordheim's exploration system, rather than just following the "core campaign rules" ? You were talking about campaign modules in OPR, what are they exactly ?
Love the opr. Where did you find the different scenario's, I couldn't find them on the website

They are in the Advanced Rules.
Ash, you won that initiative roll for the scouting units during deployment. Shouldn't the penguins deploy first, giving you a small advantage?

OPR games are not that much about advantage. That could definitely be a cool houserule, but throughout the game winning a roll off means you take action.
reread the rules for tough again plz
I'd love to see some AoF: Regiments from y'all! I'm still building up my dwarf force so haven't gotten to play a game myself yet
