Agave Nectar, Is It Like High Fructose Corn Syrup?

SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE!: bit.ly/2OsRhsi
What is agave nectar exactly and is it a healthy alternative to other natural sweeteners? Confused about whether to use it or not? We hope this video clears up the facts so you can make an informed decision.
We'll discuss the big "agave controversy" that happened several years ago and why agave sweetener was essentially exiled from the list of "healthy" sugar alternatives. But, are all syrups created equal and what about maguey sap? More also on traditional indigenous preparation methods, plus the difference between light and dark varieties.

  • @HenriFaust

Agave nectar is greater than 50% fructose. Its nutritional content is, broadly speaking, the same as both honey and high fructose corn syrup. Use sparingly. Fructose has half the per unit calories and twice the per unit sweetness compared to sucrose, so agave nectar is a healthier alternative to table sugar or raw cane sugar (sucrose). The exact same can be said of high fructose corn syrup.

Carlos Cruz they use chemicals to extract the Fructose from the agave so is almost as corn gmo the chemicals that you are getting from that is gmo. HIGH FRUCTOSE AGAVE SYRUP.
