Taking leaf cuttings from an other succulent, snake plants after 18 months I have a few tiny little baby plants 😅 barely an inch tall 😂 I think they prefer if we take the little shootings from the mother plant. Good luck with your leaf cuttings!! 🤞🏼

I’ve seen this with smaller agave but not with Americana! Doesn’t hurt to try. I have many different agave planted in our landscaping including Americana variegata here in Phoenix AZ. You’ll eventually get pups from your mother plant as long as it gets enough sun and isn’t overwatered. However I have noticed the Americana var. doesn’t pups as frequently as other species. Thanks for great video. I have just picked up an A. americana leaf whch had been knocked off a roadside planted plant here in Plymouth. It was growing on a warm, dryish, south-facing bank. I had the same thought as you. Could I get a leaf cutting to root? Looking forward to seeing the result of your experiment.

Hi. I believe they will tolerate frost so long as they are not wet. They are ok with cold. But not cold with wet. Mark

What's the update ? I don't think it will work. Agave - u can propagate through baby pups. Never heard of leaf propagation.
