Sad for the fallen traffic/motor deputy! Thank you for the video. This crash was in March of this year, the description above causes confusion that the crash was in May (small typo I am pointing out).

Even if you have the green light, when you hear a siren and you are entering an intersection, please look both ways before entering b/c the siren is coming from somewhere close where you are. Had this driver took more caution this officer would be alive today. I just saying.

The officer was working overtime to write tickets? Think about that for a second and now he is dead. Do we really need to be chasing people down to write these tickets if the car is already down the road and you have to risk a violent collision and harm to the public and yourself, just to make revenue? Please don't say this was for protecting the public, we all know that is a cover for the business these officers are put upon to carry out. Overtime, writing tickets smh..

@@onthewater4189 That's not at all what I wrote. Read my post again. Traffic laws should be enforced, but not at the expense of public safety. The goal of these enforcements is to change behavior, makes zero sense to be chasing down cars risking public safety.

I bet you anything the car he was chasing(failure to yield is a crime) had just entered the intersection and the lady who hit the cop, figured someone running a light like that would never be chased by a cop never mind her texting with disco blasting and drowning out the cops siren. What else you got?

@@speedtrap420 nothing other than the fact that you just verified what I said. He (the cop) ran the red light and was hit. Yet you still find a way to blame the lady driver who was simply driving thru an intersection where she had the green light to do so. Way to go bootlicker.

@@elo2476 No, the guy he was chasing, ran the red light. Under California law, any police officer in pursuit, code 3 can pass a light without stopping. The lady did not yield to the cop. She is a cold blooded killer. Way to go ass sniffer!

@@speedtrap420 I agree with the first part of your last comment 100%, but that’s where it ends. So she’s just magically supposed to know that that was gonna happen right? On the other hand, that cop knew the danger of what he was doing and chose CHOSE to cross that intersection without caution and paid the price for his HIS actions. The only persons responsible for his death is him and the person he was chasing. You’ve gotta be a special kind of piece of shit to somehow find a way to blame his death on the one person who had absolutely nothing to do (other than legally driving thru that intersection) with this situation. FUCK THE POLICE!
