I had driven past this house many times, watching the lawn, bushes and hedges getting more and more overgrown, so I decided to knock on the door and offer my help. The homeowner was very surprised at my offer and thought I was joking as I said I was willing to do the work for free, when she agreed she warned me that the lawn in the backyard was much more overgrown than the front of the house and maybe I was underestimating the amount of work.
I set to work, with a hand trimmer to trim the somewhat overgrown lawn and clear the sidewalk of weeds, the back yard as she said was more overgrown, so I decided to trim all the grass with the trimmer and then bagged it up. Next I mowed the front lawn with my lawn mower and I had to mow everything without the grass catcher as the container was filling up fast, but then with the container, it was much harder in the back yard as the lawn was still very thick and I had to work hard to mow and bag all the grass. When I took a break, the owner of the house offered me cold water and watermelon, which came in very handy as it was very hot outside.
Then I decided to clean the sidewalk in the yard a little from moss, using a nylon brush for the trimmer, a little later the weather turned bad and it rained occasionally but it did not interfere much with my work, then finally I started trimming the bushes in front of the house and trimming two hedges.
After everything was done, the Mistress came up to me and handed me an envelope, said that she wanted to pay for such work and insisted that I take the envelope!
It took me about 6 hours to complete the entire job

I have been watching several lawn care guys from different countries and you’re the only one who doesn’t take short cuts. You do everything including picking up and disposing of all the cuttings and digging up roots! Excellent work!

I agree. Real professional clear up and gardening. I watch this channel for the longest time. Guess other who have got million of viewers or high subscribers number, it is more to the taste of the US style. Whereas here is German with very high standards and less houses that would need free services.
For some people it isn't that they don't have the money to pay for the work it's that they don't know who to trust. Often people get taken advantage of (especially seniors - I don't know if that's the case here) and are afraid. Glad you took care of it!! ❤️❤️❤️

I was charged $120 to do my lawn. It was overgrown, so I understood the price. He sent me a pic of my backyard and I was happy. When I got home from work and saw the job; all he did was mow. No edging, no trimming just mowed, and he got $120. My neighbor heard me complaining, and now he does it. Edging, weeding, trimming, and sweeping. We get scammed all the time. It's really sad.

@@lequitahicks9076 Exactly! And why do we always feel dumb when we get scammed? I mean, the scammer is the jerk yet we feel like we should have known better. Plus older people have an added layer of fear because often they are afraid if their family finds out they will be seen as unable to take care of themselves anymore and they might lose their independence.
What meticulous work, I know she must have been so grateful!!
I can't believe you accomplished all that in just 6 hours. Its really a lovely home once you finished manicuring everything.

This was one wonderful job done. I love watching your trim the bushes and the hedges, you are like an artist and have beautiful skills. The lawn and hedges look so good after you have done your magic with your lovely professional work. You really love your job. This is excellent work. I like a lawn care business that does it all. Yours is one of the best. It made me chuckle to see the ‘subscribe’ plaque on the side of her house. How brilliant! Glad you didn’t have to work in the rain this day.

Maybe if people insist on paying you, take the money and pay for lawn/hedge care for them for the future. That way you can still do it for "free" and they have lawn care for a bit. Win/win in my book.

You have to be one of the fittest men in Britain. The work you do, the productivity, even through the rains, is impressive every time. I trim 4-7 hedge lines and I'm sore the next day. And when you pulled out that brick/paver scrubber, I thought, "This is a MASTER!"

this was a good gesture on your part. i think she saw all the work needed to get the yard looking decent , lots of sweat and strength taking place. bless her heart that she paid a good man for a good days work. so much took place that you couldn't let us see. i always wonder why people want so many hedges around entry points. i would want it clear so as not to give a bad person somewhere to hide in waiting . the neighborhood is probably just as grateful. thanks for another good show.

What an incredible amount of work. After that extensive lawn work I bet the hedge trimming was easier! Cool and refreshing rain on such a hot day! He disfrutado mucho este video. A medida que pasabas la herramienta iba quedando tan limpio y arreglado... un gusto verlo. Un resultado magnífico!!! Y una generosidad maravillosa!!! Sobre una superficie dura como el cemento, no dudes en usar una escoba bien ancha e irás super rápido en recoger. Sólo tienes que empujarla y hacer una sola pila de hojas. Ese suelo también quedaría muy bien con una limpieza a presión. Hasta creo que el Ayuntamiento tendría que contratarte para limpiar el suelo de las calles con presión. Quedaría como recién puesto!!! Un saludo!!
