I live in the US and never been to mainland China but I have been to Hong Kong. I started learning about China in early 2020 due to the pandemic and I've found it to be the most amazing and wonderful country in the world and a huge reason is due to it's culture! Happy you mentioned it too Rafael. Now after 3 years following China, I'm beginning to see why Marco Polo called China "Heaven on Earth." It truly is just that and one major reason is how the government takes care of it's people, particularly it's elderly.

Same thing happened to me. I started learning more about China around 2020 when western countries started targeting China. I tried to learn about the conflict and in doing so I learned so much about China and began to truly admire the civilization they’ve built for their people. I live in Canada, I love Canada but wish our government would focus on improving living standards of all Canadians. There is too much homelessness and disunity.

My 21 year old son is currently working in China and he love it there😅

I am Canadian after living in Chengdu for 10 years I came back to Canada 2 years ago. I feel I am living in an underdeveloped third-world country. Canada is a stagnant country that has been living in the past and refuses to change but the worst is most Canadians think Canada is the best country in the universe so why change or innovate they are happy living in the past. I miss China every single day and hate living in Canada, China changed my life and the way I live and think forever.

Canada must suck if you think it is inferior to China. I lived in China for ten years and I am blessed to be living in Australia with my Chinese wife and son.

China is about the same size as the whole of Europe, imagine a central government that can manage the whole of Europe, from economic development to public security, This is a miracle.

There is 4 times the population of the whole Europe in China. However they are used to manage a huge territory for centuries so nothing new for China.

I lived i Beijing from 2011 - 2019, so it's 8 years too. I have made some good friends, and I plan to go there again, hopefully this year, to meet up and enjoy the food and the company of friends. I have visited over 40 venues in China during the time, and I plan to revisit some of those places again. I miss China. ☺

I just returned from China today. I spent 14 days between Beijing and Nanjing... Nothing said on this video is untrue. The massive infrastructural development going on in China is unprecedented in the history of mankind. Those guys are simply amazing. I want to honestly believe that at the phase China is growing, by the next decade there won't be any country like China 🇨🇳. I love China 🇨🇳

You made the right choice for this century. Outside of China, things look worse than ever, in absolutely every way. You probably hear from your relatives and friends back home about prices, politics, infrastructure, etc. and how absolutely nothing seems to be changing. I live in Romania, an Eastern European country, I'm 23 years old, I'm doing my master's degree in environmental engineering. I hope that one day I can live in China, but that's just a dream of mine.. We usually don't use paper currency, we just need a phone to do anything。 In China, you can go out and play anytime at night. You don't have to worry about being robbed. Chinese people are the friendliest people in the world. Welcome ~~

Yeah I might just say screw it and go teach English in China/Southeast Asia for a few years and maybe find some better work while I'm there. America is my home and always will be, but my heart is in China.

Quite sure that another excellent reason for you to enjoy living in China is having your family there. The kids in China grow up in a very safe place. Education is taken seriously by everybody, and kids grow up in a forward looking country full of dreams and aspirations, yet steeped in rich history. I love that you have artistic eyes to frame the scenery which is quite different from other expats. While I also enjoy the political views of other expats like Lee and Jason, you just stay in the lane you are most comfortable with. To those haters who always dwell on negativity, they create their own misery. As the Buddha taught: mind consciousness is the most important driver of people's lives. Be kind and be positive.

Science, high technologies, the social system are developing (as in the Scandinavian countries of Europe), but China is not mentally changing, and in general, do not expect anything good from the communists. Have you forgotten about Mao's "cultural" revolution? It was not so long ago, and only Deng Xiaoping saved the country from horror, allowed "bad" capitalism, without the investments of which China would have remained a medieval village. Now Xi is once again lifting restrictions on being in office, wants to become an emperor, and sole power leads to regression and the death of creativity.

Actually no , as someone who’s been there it easy to get over China really quickly once the initial honeymoon ware off , First there’s limited of jobs they allow foreigners to do regardless of qualifications, and to build a permanent life there is next to impossible if you want to settle down as it rare to get a PR , and whole registration system they have is mind blowing Discriminatory . China is a great country to visit but not stay unless you came from worse counties and it was an upgrade living there . I stayed in China for close to a year and that was enough for me I was over it and went back to my country where I am happier with the life style here

I spent more than two years in china and now I'm in the west. China is safer. There are more opportunities, and people are warm and energetic. The only bad thing is their work ethics. They work really hard, and it makes you feel inactive or lazy among them.

Actually work ethics (working extremely hard) is a good trait to have, it's the reason why China is where it is today, from economically ranked nowhere 40 years ago to expectedly becoming the top economic super power in the world in couple of year's time. Working hard comes naturally for majority of the Chinese people and another fact is that there are differences between working hard willingly (happy to work) instead of being forced to work, with Harvard's research indicated above 90% of Chinese people approved of their government's method of governance which alleviated 800 million people out of poverty, it only showed their people were happily working. When they are happily willing to work, they'll go the extra mile which is something I don't see much in the western hemisphere.

Your positivity about China is really good to hear. I live in Shenzhen too and it an excellent city to live in these days. I can't disagree with any of your either reasons for living in China. I am sure I can think of more if I try, but you have summed things up well. ​@@max-mhdxx I have been to Xichong (西冲) Beach. It could be beautiful but when I went it was super crowded and full of rubbish just dumped everywhere. Nowhere in China dissapointed me more than Xichong. 8964

The point is that Chinese people are satisfied with their own lives. Chinese people prefer collectivism over individualism. People are more closely connected. Most people are full of expectations and yearning for the future, thinking that everything will be better. People are unwilling to go Crime, the camera is only one of the reasons. London has the most surveillance cameras compared to any city in China. And yet, it has high crimes.

Have your parents renounced their Chinese nationality? If you want to get Chinese nationality back, as a descendant of Chinese, I think it should be relatively easy. China is not a country of immigrants, and it is difficult for others to get a Chinese green card

When I was a college student, I went to Beijing as an exchange student - I went there to study Mandarin in exchange for one of their professors to come to my U.S. institution to study English for the entire academic year. I suggest you research similar programs; there are plenty out there.

The content is awesome, even for me a Chinese who has lived in UK for past 9 years, it has made me busting into tears, I miss China so much, the longer I live here the more I realize how much I have taken her for granted before. I miss the people, the food, the fun life, convenient and modern infrastructures, it is truly an amazing place with history and innovations so we are going to sell everything here and move back home this summer, I am so excited 🎉

I have never been paid a penny for what I have said about China. I always tell the truth. I lived in China for many years and I learn how to speak Chinese, I learned traditional martial arts not contemporary wushu, and made many memorable friends over there. It was an excellent experience and I would do it again. 我已經想念中國，每天在中國真有意思。

I am lucky that I have a Chinese wife from Guiyang, Guizhou province, I lived in Shanghai from 2009-2012 and visit China regularly since 2001 for business and for family reunion, I miss China so much and looking forward to visit China again with my wife in June. A safe 5/6G country, where focus is on family & respect for elderly. Crime would not dare to surface due to the social credit. Crime surface when you are poor and lack possibilities. Social credit would not fix that if young people would have no good option than enter in a gang.

Social credit is more than just about deterring crime. It hinders mobility and freedom on many levels. And its coming to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Western media never say a good word about China (if there is, it must be something to ask for. )Continuous shooting needs a special gray filter for an ordinary Chinese blue sky, which is pathetic and shameful! ……

Impressed by your vlogs capture of pple n sceneries of the places you visited and your drone filmed panaromic views. Very high quality n professional level skills as good as Alex of Reportedfy Media n Travel. Keep it up Feel you are very lucky to be in China for all the reasons you mentioned. For me another appeal of China is the many the ancient natural n man-made wonders that I wish I could travel to China n explore.. So I wont mind to live in China for this reason.

I lived in Shenzhen for 4 years myself and I agree with all the points you've mentioned here. However, there are few major points to consider when considering life in China. First of all, China green card, or permanent residence is notoriously hard to get, unless you have a few extra millions to throw into investment, or you're a Nobel prize winner. So, be prepared for family or work visa hustle every year, and hope there will be no covid or no change in regulations. Second - particularly in the cities like Shenzhen and Shanghai - you have to consider cost of life, and cost of real estate. Real estate prices in Shenzhen are insane, almost on the same level as Hong Kong. For me those were two major factors to consider other options in asia, particularly Thailand and Taiwan, which has a great residence program (Golden Card) for 3 years, with permanent residence after 3 years.
