Very good work on this ps3 ! Question : 10:46 - I though the melting point of leaded solder ball was supposed to be 175°C. Or at least lower than unleaded solder ball. Is it 175°C or 275°C ? Thanks to you and please do more PS3 repair videos !

Lead free 210°C-220°C bottom heater and upper heater must start at 180°C to combine target 220°C But be aware some board sok more heat and some less like PS3 sok more then xbox 360.. This is my experience that I'm sharing here if I'm doing wrong then I appreciate your knowledge to guide me Thank you

Umar guzri he issi dasht ki siahi main. As the GPU/CPU data lines connect to some of the chips. Lines that are connected with southbridge are address data lines that are like a bridge between CPU and southbridge. Some outputs lines give outputs that go to AVI and HDMI decoder chips.

1 question when you reball the ps4 apu and want to solder it back to the motherboard at 190 we need to stop the profile or 205°c

The motherboard's temperature should not exceed more than 205 Celsius.

Hi sir I have ps3 phat 60gb console it works perfectly and usb ports can charge my phone and use wired controller with no issue But everytime i power on console i get error message on top right corner of TV "the maximum amount of power that can be supplied to a USB device has been reached. Please unplug a device." But usb ports are fully functional? It give this message when i unplug everything also? What can possible cause be? Possible southbridge problem? Faulty southbridge cause this message?

Maybe the southbridge, but I never ever encounter a problem like this.

Hi, congratulations. I've one question, my ps3 fat freeze after 30-40 sec, so I did like you to put pressure on one and the other, but when I touch the processor it heats up very quickly and is very hot, and the gpu is almost cold, is that normal? I specify that on the cpu there is a small scratch on the printed circuit. Thx

Do you have any shop in karachi my ps3 has the same fault it is the jailbreak one and till opening a game it stays on for a minute or two then after opening the game 2 3 minutes it shuts off

It is risky, the motherboard bends that may cause other problems and errors.

Reflow is sufficient for the PS3 chips, but PS4 APU must always be Reballed.

My ps3 3004b it shut down it self 2 times: first time i connected my phone on usb port to try to transfer files from the phone in ps3, when i opened aplication FILE MANAGER ps3 shut down it self instant with no red light, after i start again and works good 3-4 hours. The second time i put a usb stick in port usb at ps3 and i try to open FileManager shut down again with no red light. I start again console, i open again aplication and work fine. I don t know were is the problem My ps3 is modded with hen but sometimes i have freezes when activate HEN.

Most probably, first, you should install the latest update and install the HEN again.

@@idreestech i have latest HFW 4.89.1 and latest version of HEN.The first time I noticed the problem was when I tried to connect the phone, until then it never turned off. Sometimes it froze or remained a black screen but it didn't turn

@@idreestech Last time i play 3 hours and i don't have any problems. I think the problems can be from the HEN, a try to replace original hdd with ssd but same problems, freeze or remained in a black screen when i try to start aplication. Thank you for your advice!

Is there any way to reflow it at home , sir ? Because i don't have that machine you used.

It is better to do it with a machine but you can first pre-heat the whole motherboard and then focus heat throw on the specific chip.

Hi sir, I have the same problem. Sometimes it will work for hours but sometimes it will turn off right after displaying. Interesting is that it doesn't turn off if there is no hdd. Is it the same problem as yours?

Definitely, the HDD would have a hell of bad sectors.

@@idreestech I think I found the issue. There is resistor which value is 462 ohms while all resistors near it are 33 and 12ohm. Now I have to find new resistor

My CECH3003A had the same symptoms: it would show green light for 20-30 seconds and would lose all power. Sometimes, I got it to boot and it would work for hours, but it would stop working again after turning it off. The fault was a gap between the CPU and the heat spreaders. The heat spreaders couldn't be tighten enough, so there was a gap. Solution: I bought two washers for the CPU's heatspreaders' screws. They allowed me to tighten the screws very tight. The system has worked fine for the past two months. No freezing, overheating or booting issues. The CPU is not the issue, but the screws that keep the heat spreader in place. They're too lose. That is a BGA issue connections are cracked. Must reflow processor or reball for permanent fix.

The upper max.230 and the lower temp max. 245 according to my profile.

Motherboard's temp. should go up to 220 degrees on a BGA machine.

Giving heat with a normal heat gun to the CPU by applying flux on sides is foolishness.
