Thank you for this update! I've been using both of these two and love them. I didn't realise the Gold version is water resistant but I find it slightly more hydrating and it smooths on a little easier.

Thanks man!! At least someone said about the gold one that it makes the face look more oily... Feeling so relieved!. I didn't like the gold one at all for its oily look. Mot only this, it also made my face look 2/3 shade darker. The thing I realized about this is I like a bit of white cast and a little bit of oily & matte finish mixture.

The difference is that the gold version does not contain glycerine, so it should appeal more to oily skin types. They’re both water resistant.

Glycerin isn’t a greasy ingredients though, and thank you! On Yesstyle it said the gold was but didn’t say anything about the white. Thanks foe the info :)

@@ZacMalone I can’t explain the logic 🤷🏽‍♂️. I have tried both and honestly can’t tell the difference in wear, only when applying cause the white one is a bit more runny.

Another difference is that the white one has just tinosorb s for uva protection while the gold one has uvinal a plus on top of tinosorb

Apparently the gold series is a reformulation in response to the uneven application of the regular skin aqua. I really love the gold one it’s been my holy grail for months and I do notice a difference in texture and evenness of the formula. The regular one just seems to have a thinner consistency from my experience.

Thank you Chin! Neither are drying or dehydrating even in winter

The white one has been reformulated in 2020 to exclude Unival A Plus, as well. I think some people are still getting the older version. I switched over to the gold one for that reason.

@@snulsim7245 idk whether my comment keeps getting deleted. Anyways, there was a top rated review on Yesstyle stating that the 2020 white reformulation excluded Unival A Plus. Ratzillacosme (Japanese resource site) also reports this change.

@@ZacMalone I use the spf 70 face sunscreen lotion. They have a face mist sunscreen I want to try for reapplication.

fyi, “スーパーウォータープルーフ” is written on the white bottle packaging, which says “super waterproof”, so i believe the white bottle also claims to be water resistant. cmiiw.

Actually the gold one is waterproof meaning it's impermeable to water, while the white one is water resistant meaning it is resistant only to a certain degree.

It does not. If you’re oily you’ll want a more matte finish

How often should these spfs be updated? I have white and gold spf. I read a lot about new generation filters and these spfs contain 3 filters one of which is new generation stable filter. But I still do not have enough knowledge to answer the question about the duration of this spf. Do you know something about it?🙏🏻🥰

Just because something “new” comes out, does not mean the current products are bad. These still have great filters, not yet allowed in USA

I think the blue is a milk. These are gels, probably better for dry skin

Yes, on hot humid summer days I am OILY and it’s what I reach for. Ultimately if your really oily you’ll want a setting powder or translucent pressed powder to take down shine

Have you found any sunscreens that are similar to Aquaskin that're easily available in US stores? Specifically how it doesn't leave the skin oily/greasy looking or leave a white cast. I tried the white version and its my favorite sunscreen I've used so far for this reason.

I’ve used the gold version for about 3 months and I think it clogged my pores… (I’m not 100% sure because it could have been hormonal changes or changes on my diet) Do you know if they contain ingredients that are known for or might clog pores?

There isn’t anything in here that stands out as pore clogging. But do make sure at night you get all spf off my double cleansing. If I don’t double cleanse my pores get clogged

Yes absolutely

The Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milk is better than both of these imho. It has a more natural finish, not nearly as shiny as these ones and I feel like the protection and waterproof-ness is better than both of these as well. It only comes in 40ml bottles tho, that’s the only downside.
