I used to live in Japan and have used quite a lot of their sunscreens. I find Japanese sunscreens to be really good, my favourites are the Biore Aqua Essence and the Shiseido Anessa sun milk :)

Yes, would totally love a similar video on Korean sunscreens. Also, another topic suggestion - would love a review on fungal acne safe sunscreens that are also sensitive skin friendly. It's a real gap in online content and it would be so helpful if you could cover it!!

I love Biore Aqua (another Japanese sunscreen)! The first time I used it I was taking my kids to float the river. They applied physical sunscreen at least 3 times and all ended up slightly burnt or burnt. I applied Biore Aqua once and didn't even get tanned. I recommended to my oldest because she has such fair skin and she loves it too.

Love Asian sunscreens! I'm placing a Yesstyle (also love their site) order for the Nivea Japan super water gel 50 and the skin aqua UV. Ages ago I found Missha at Target and that is what turned me on to Asian sunscreens. I had no idea sunscreen didn't have to sting my face! Missha Sun Gel is still a favorite of mine. Thank you for your content!

I will pick some of these up if I find them, because your spf recommendations are the best! I love those Skin Aqua products that I bought after I saw your analytical video about them. In my opinion, the ones in the tiny bottles might be better even for oily skin because I find that when I use the big one with the pump, the one with alcohol, after a few hours my skin looks oilier than when I'm using the one in the small bottle (I'm sorry I forget the names...), even though at first it disappears into the skin like you said.

Honestly, I don’t mind if a sunscreen is a bit dewy, just as long as it’s not a sticky greasy mess. If I don’t feel like looking dewy I’ll just put on a mattifying primer, even if I’m going makeup free to absorb some of the shine. Translucent powder works well too.

@AbbeyYung I'm on 1% Tretinoin for aging. I find most sunscreens drying as HECK! I also struggle w/ sunscreen + moisurizer causing pilling to start my day. Chemical sunscreens seem to irritate my skin. Non-Chemical causes MORE dryness. HELP!!!! Can you recommend an effective but gentle SUNSCREEN?? PLEASE HELP! MAYBE DO A VIDEO ON THIS SINCE LOTS OF US OLD HAGS MIGHT BE IN THIS SITCH? THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING THIS! MUCH LOVE TO YOU AND ALL THAT YOU DO!!!

Hi, does anyone know how much ppd the verdio spf 50+ gel has? I really want to buy it but I don't know whether or not it will give me enough uva protection. Thanks for answer.

Hi Abbey, started following you about 15 days ago. I wanted to know the reason and solution for my problem. I live in an insane humid climate place and in the morning when I wear sunscreen, I immediately start sweating on my face that my whole face is watery. If I layer foundation on the top if it and even apply powder, everything just melts. I have tried so many sunscreens, currently using Missha. I was using LA Roche Posay.

I love your videos! So so incredibly helpful! I love the canmake one, think I’ll try the verdio one too. Can you tel me, is it just the pink and blue ones that are water resistant and do they contain alcohol like the one in the pump? Thank you!!

Hi, thank you so much for this video! I don’t know much about sunscreens so I have a question… And I’m assuming that these sunscreens are for daily use but I’m wondering if they should/could also be used for beach or pool and are these for face only or entire body?

Idk about all of them but i know the Skin Aqua gel one is water resistant for 80 mins. And im sure some of the others are too. You would just have to check and see. I bought the Skin Aqua for my body but you could use it on your face as well. Like Abbey said it does have alcohol but it probably won't cause any issues. I like the Drmtgly tinted one for my face though.

For the “canmake it” sunscreen are 2 options - clear and white. Is there any different besides cast? I have dry skin which one of these 2 do you recommend?

I would recommend the no white cast as the white can make people with slightly warmer skin tones to look ashy.

I got the blue Skin Aqua Moisture Milk thanks to your suggestion, and I LOVE IT. It's my current favorite. Works so nicely on my oily-dehydrated skin! I was also considering getting the Verdio but think I will pass after watching this video. Still sounds too dewy for me (I've tried the Canmake and it's too dewy for me). So, thank you for helping to save me money! Just curious, which of the Kose Suncut sunscreens would you most recommend for super oily skin?
