To add to my previous comment on this video-I have to say that I absolutely love you! I am 73 so really have no business watching someone as young as you, but your advise is good for all ages. Everything I have seen you recommend is spot on in my opinion. I asked my dermatologist what the best skin care products and he said "Tretinoin, a good moisturizer, good cleansing and a good sunscreen." But I like to try to do everything I can for my skin, so I am really into the serums and exfoliants in addition. You are also so much fun to watch-you have a great personality and are very intelligent. Kudos to you for being able to make KZread your main job!

This reminds me of the day we were sitting out at a restaurant in the sunshine when a beautifully & chic dressed and made up lady around the age of 75+ came to sit at the table alongside us. We were SO impressed that we stepped over to her table to tell her how beautiful she looked and that she’s was an inspiration for us. We remember her to this day and this incident happened about 10 years ago.

And that is how you win a loyal subscriber: tones of well and easily explained info, beyond useful comparisons *without being mean about any product* That is the vibe I love!: "what works for me may not work for you and viceversa". Most helpful vid ever to choose according to my skin needs and personal preferences. *THANK YOUUUU, HUN* 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻✨✨ 🧛🏻‍♀️💜

The one thing I’d note about the Skinceuticals is that this brand actually funded a lot of the studies that helped us to stabilise ascorbic acid (such as formulating it with Vittamin E and Ferulic), which obviously aren’t cheap! Whilst obviously other brands have used that research to make more affordable versions along the same lines that can be enjoyed by more people, that is the main reason their pricing is so high.

Vanicream face wash is my favorite because unlike CeraVe, it removes ALL my eye and face makeup gently with no extra rubbing. It melts my makeup off and I never have to use a makeup remover. Im going to try the face moisturizer and see how that works for me. Thanks for all the good info! PS I don’t wear waterproof mascara so not sure about how it works for that.

The Ordinary’s mask is my favorite. Because I live in a very polluted city and it is the one product that I swear by to help my skin get rid of all that. And it’s great for my upper body too.

I’ve been using Timeless Vitamin C, DRMTLGY SPF 46 tinted moisturizer, and Cereve healing for a little over a month and I love it all! DRMTLGY’s Peptide Night Cream is pretty awesome too. ❤️

Great video! When I first bought the Cerave lotion, I found that it cause my face to break out. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I decided to use it as a body moisturizer--it's the perfect weight, light but still effective, and never gets sticky. Later on I started using the Cerave lotion as carrier for my Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops--and it's perfect. Now I'm on my fourth bottle!

Omg thank you for letting us know about that Skinceuticals dupe! I have a sample of their CE Ferulic acid and wanted to try the fullsize because it's so pricey. Such a great product to wear under sunscreen for added protection.

I just bought the vanicream moisturizer. I used to use cerave on my face & I loved it! My skin is dry, too. However, I've recently learned that silicone moisturizer can make sunscreen pill (I didn't pay attention to that before), & I believe the vanicream is silicone free. I still enjoy cerave for my body though.

Vanicream has some ingredients I wouldn't want , Such as BHT is one of their ingredients not good for our bodies. CeraVe is a better product.

Haven't tried Vanicream. But I like Cerave especially when I have Curel serum first then apply Cerave thereafter. It hydrates and moisturises my skin really good. Never breaks me out and always soothes my skin when it's irritated.

I use the Vanicream Daisly Moisturizer for Sensitive skin as well as the Cleanser. I'm very fair with pink undertones, over 60, normal to dry skin and these products work very well for me, plus they are very affordable and can be purchased at Walmart as well as on Amazon. My problem is finding a suitable mineral sunscreen that I can wear under my makeup without feeling greasy. I'll try your recommendations, Abbey, thank you.

Im on my second bottle. It doesnt irritates my skin anymore. I mean just a little irritation which was normal. But now it doesnt. I feel if it doesnt work on my skin or what else is the cause?

My favorite dupe for face moisturizer is the Cetaphil Redness Relieving Night Moisturizer. It has ceramides and niacinimide. The DRMTLGY sunscreen sounds great. Enjoyed the video!

CeraVe Healing Ointment is amazing. I use it on my lips and around my eyes before I apply Differin and 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. My husband is even hooked on using it in place of lip balm. I wouldn’t say skincare is a big concern for him, but it just works that well!

I LOVE the Vanicream+HA moisturizer. I use it am & pm. Such a great, simple gem. I add Paula’s Choice peptide booster to it.

I use the vanicream daily facial moisturizer also and love it over the CeraVe. I also use the drmtlgy non tinted sunscreen and then use the elta md physical tinted over it. These are my HG for my rosacea and reactive skin. Been wanting to try the timeless vitamin c, but haven't yet

I recently added the Timeless Vitamin C serum into my skincare routine, and I am enjoying it. I have very sensitive and reactive skin and the Timeless hasn't caused any irritation. I would suggest taking it slowly, though, maybe every other day to start. I also use their CoQ10 serum, also very good. I use these in the morning prior to moisturizer and then sunscreen. In the evening I use tretinoin 0.05% cream and then 20 minutes later, I cover extra dry areas, i.e., around the eyes and mouth, with CeraVe Healing Ointment. I am 53 and do not have any static wrinkles - good skin care works!

I really like the DRMTLGY sunscreen. I used 3 bottles after your recommendation. I've recently started using Paula's Choice Winkle Defense Sunscreen and I LOVE it.

I have never tried the CeraVe lotion, just the cream and the PM moisturizer. The cream is my favorite body lotion ever. I try to only buy cruelty free and find I am still buying that cream. I like the PM lotion as well, fantastic ingredients, but it is shiny and sticky on my skin. Would love to see dupes on these, cruelty free ones. Would love a part 2. Thank You Abby. Always sweet, always teaching me new things. Appreciate You! 🧡

I love the Vanicream facial cleanser and have used it for about 2 years now. Nothing else is as moisturizing not even Cerave Hydrating cleanser (which dries out my normal-to-dry skin). I live in a semi-dry, semi-humid area in Texas. Vanicream takes off my makeup except waterproof mascara. It is available at Target and is affordable. It lasts a long time. It lathers, but does not strip the oil from my skin. Sorry, but the “all natural” route irritates my skin and causes breakouts; Vanicream does not. I used the Vanicream products when I had eczema and rosacea on my face and it was the only set of products I could tolerate. They helped my skin to heal. They also make a bar cleanser for the face, if that is your preference, that contains the same ingredients as their liquid facial cleanser.

I tried the Vanicream cream before being introduced to Cerave, and it honestly did nothing to soothe and heal my mild to moderate eczema. However, everyone is different so what works for me won't necessarily work for everyone else.

I must be weird because I didn't like the Vanicream, it left my face way too shiny and looking like an oil slick, even though I have dryish skin! The CeraVe lotion just soaks in better and feels so nice to me, it will always be something I use. I actually bought the baby CeraVe lotion to try that on my face. Good info, though, I feel like you missed your calling as a dermatologist lol!

I agree, and thought it was just me. I do not like Vanicream at all. I hate the way it makes my skin feel. I have dry skin, but it doesn’t feel moisturizing at all to me. In fact it looks terrible if I try to put my makeup over it. Seriously, it’s not smooth at all. Hands down CeraVe is the winner for me!👏

The Vanicream is sticky! The CeraVe is smooth. As far as I'm concerned, I prefer the CeraVe over the vanicream. No comparison!
