AFI- This Time Imperfect-With Lyrics

Музыка

I tried to decode the whispers as best as i could, hope you enjoy!!
I cannot leave here, I cannot stay,
Forever haunted, more than afraid,
Asphyxiate on words I would say,
I'm drawn to a blackened sky as I turn blue,
There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find,
I'd show a smile, but I'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me,
I cannot stay here, I cannot leave,
Just like all I loved, I'm make-believe,
Imagined heart, I disappear,
Seems...no one will appear here and make me real,
There are no flowers, no, not this time,
There will be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words I find,
I'd show a smile, but I'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this hurts me,
I'd tell you how it haunts me,
I'd tell you how it haunts me,
(cuts through my day, and sinks into my dreams)
I'd tell you that it haunts me,
(cuts through my day, and sinks into my dreams)
You don't care that it haunts me,
Oh!
There are no flowers, no, not this time,
There will be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words I find,
I'd show a smile, but I'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this hurts me,
Just how much this hurts me,
Just how much you...

I recall the first time I heard this song in 2007 after a break up with a woman I loved dearly. I came home one night after teaching a class and sitting in my truck in the drive way thinking. I let the CD play out after ".....but home is nowhere" and was shocked to hear it. I let out a healing cry to let the pain of my past and the dysfunctional relationships I had. I chose that was the time to start to heal myself and let go of the hurt. Today, I am still healing, but am so much stronger.

I said Today. "Sing the Sorrow" was released 9 years ago and I love all the songs included in it. I like "December Underground" just as much. But Crash Love is a pure scream for money and attention. They are not getting mine.

I will agree that Crash Love songs are a hell of a lot more readable than their other stuff. Thinking about it, Crash Love sounds a lot like Cex Cells, which Davey and Jade clearly did for their love of electronic music. Nonetheless, arguments like this are pointless. Badmouthing them will get comments like my previous one, or agreements from people who mainly like their punk stuff.

For fucks sakes, does this sound like a song that was inspired by money? It's hilarious to see people bash AFI's new stuff because it isn't hardcore punk anymore. Is it so hard to appreciate that you have to blind yourself by saying they changed because of money? Listening to each AFI album, there is a very clear evolution. When people grow up, they have different views and, usually, become more sophisticated. Overall, if you don't like their new stuff, why the fuck are you here?

lol no. they changed their style, it isn't 'evolving' or 'growing up'. and if you're implying that we should follow the trend, well you can be one of the mindless zombies, but some of us actually prefer to remain individuals darling.
