In this video we are checking out a really cool and affordable wireless XLR adapter that can turn any XLR signal into a wireless XLR signal. This is the AirSync by Coda Music Tech, and it can turn a mic wireless or be used for a wireless for your PA system. It has optional Phantom power, and a switch to go from mic to line level. It’s worked very well for me at my gigs, and many thanks to Coda Music Tech for sponsoring the video.

    That's a pretty incredible feature-set for that price-point! I'm going to serious consider seeing if there's a fit for this one... When you mentioned being able to get another XLR cable in next to it it does appear you won't be getting 2 of these side-by-side though, so no adjacent in/out without one being on an extender. Might still be worth it though... Cheers!

    Wow! Really useful, especially the automatic frequency adjustment from Tx to Tr. Good latency. Most important - battery life. Yes, it is one of the plus point in comparison to others in this race👍. Only drawback is the frequency in India. Moreover, if CODA could come up with TRS along with XLR connectivity, it would be cherry on cake. Pricewise, its one of the cheapest available. Why people never talked about this? GREAT job on this channel man! hey, I hope it's okay to ask on GTRS guitar ( your video on that is from a year ago so not sure if I asked there, if you would notice it, so I'll ask here): Is there a way to play bluetooth audio via the GTRS or via its GWF4 footswitch? I know there is a way to play it with Prime P2, but wondering if possible with only the GTRS. I bought the same S800 you have - I LOVE THIS GUITAR!

One thing they can/should add to the Prime P2 is the "guitar emulator" they have with the GTRS app where you can apply a different guitar sim to each of the 5 switches including Tele, LesPaul etc.. it's really nice. I must say I expected much of this guitar and still I'm positively surprised. Really love it.

    Great info yet again! Have a question, Have you found a decent mic clip that holds a 58 type mic but can be quick released with that adapter in place for handheld use? Butterfly clips don't hold the mic firmly enough. I have one of the Xvive adapters [problematic to use] with a similar configuration and other than a quick detach stand adapter, I've found all other mic clips unusable. Can't take the mic off the stand as the adapter will prevent detachment. I do location recording/FOH with a Mackie DL32S. Looks like I can find uses for this adapter. Love your channel, saves me a whole lot of trial and error. BTW: Just checked and Amazon has it listed as "Currently Unavailable" I would have bought a half dozen for my rig.

    I did an A/B, and it wasn't a waste of time. It was missing bottom-end. I ran it through a spectrum analyzer and there is NOTHING below 120Hz, like you put a HPF on it. Above 120Hz, it is a near match for a direct cable, which is nice. Battery life was 8 hours first time full-to-dead, and that went down by 25% on subsequent charges. The phantom power cuts transmitter life significantly (from 6 hours to 4 hours) but I won't be using them for condensers due to the missing low-end. I have two sets and will use them to wirelessly send to fill speakers at reception events or for VOG announcements and wandering questions from the audience, not critical audio. They work great for that up to about 50-feet through one wall, not quite 100-feet unobstructed.

  • @ScottUhlMusic

    @ScottUhlMusic

    Thanks for sharing! I appreciate it. I still use this one quite often and it works great. 8 hours of battery life is awesome, and even if it's lower, I don't mind, as long as it survives 4 hours. I did just release a video about setting expecations on budget/cheap wireless: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYmCpKqiZamZkbQ.htmlsi=a_tek37zIs7cyrSF If there is nothing below 120, I think that's actually great for microphones. Might cut a little out of PA systems if you don't have a separate channel for subs though. Wireless range always depends on the venue location and the RF of that environment. Sometimes it will be 50 ft, sometimes 100, sometimes 10... it all depends. Again, thanks for sharing your experience!

    Hi, I have to agree, great product, no latency, no noise, long battery life. I bought one and after trying two more pieces. The only problem is to tune the frequency for each pair. When I turn on the receiver of another pair, the frequency of the already turned on pair is tuned. I have to go with the pair that is on a bit further than the first pair that is on. It would be ideal if the set frequency for individual pairs no longer changes. Do you have any experience or recommendations when switching on multiple pairs? How to avoid this problem? It’s not a direct box like converting to a balanced mic level signal. But you could go from a direct box to a mixer with this. Anything xlr 👍

    Hey Scott! I baught four of them and tried to use them parallel. The problem is, I could not them manage to get all four transmitting in different frequencies. I tried to use 2 units for a stereo PA system and another 2 units for 2 floor monitor speakers on stage. Unfortunately, everytime I turned on one another transmitter, it was pairing with the first receiver or if there were at least with the one having the lowest frequency set. Even if I walk away more than 100 feet so the first receiver couldn’t pair with the second transmitter because of the distance, it repaired itself automatically with the first receiver, after having returned to the stage for a couple of minutes. Where my mistake? Or does it really not work like I wanted to?

    Do not use 4 of them all at once. If you want more wireless at once, you have to buy the higher end stuff: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ip1mrMWGn9DQgZM.htmlsi=L64tBoiZE86bQWAB these won’t go 100 feet as well. @scott not sure if you’ll see this comment on an old video but is it possible to transmit from one TX to multiple RX’s? I am currently using the xvive system and the thing I enjoy is being able to set multiple RX’s on the same frequency.

  • @ScottUhlMusic

    You shouldn’t be able to do that on the xvive. You can’t transmit multiple ones at once I don’t believe

    @@ScottUhlMusic actually I do this on a regular basis. When I need additional coverage, I will use one xvive TX and 4 RX’s (same frequency). It has worked flawlessly every time. The only time I have ever ran into issues was when I tried to daisy chain a speaker to another. This would place an RX and TX on different frequencies in close proximity on the in and out on the speaker.

It is really bad and really poor quality.
