I bought a crushed ice radiant cut moissanite from Etsy as well and it also looks very dull and cloudy! I was very disappointed! Craftsmanship was also great but I simply cannot wear the ring, it looks like a cheap CZ! I left a very honest 3 star review, and the owner of the shop contacted me trying to convince me to take it down. I did not, consumers need to be aware!

Moissanite weighs les than diamond from my understanding, I believe the stone it self was a milky stone that was cut.. I have seen some very special moissanite stones. Don’t beat your self up over your choices. That marquis is beautiful. My advice is to select loose stones.. and then craft it into the setting that you really really love. I have been buying moissanite for years. They have come so far, they are great investments.. I love the crushed ice. Just for the fire and brilliance each stone carries

Seems weird to not want the fire and brilliance, to try to imitate the shine of a diamond looks like a step back. For so long people dream of having a quality diamond that's clear, colorless and has fire. Most could never afford them so settle for lower quality diamonds and just pretend they're happy. Now, we have a gemstone that actually has brilliance and fire but is also affordable.

Have to say I don’t understand why someone would want to tone down the fire of this gemstone to try and make it look like a diamond . I have a near colorless diamond engagement ring and my future daughter in law chose a DEF colorless Moissanite and when we put the 2 next to each other to compare , her Moissanite outshines my diamond in every way ! The clarity , color , fire and extreme sparkle of her Moissanite ring can be seen from across a room . My diamond is larger , yet when we are together ,her ring gets spotted by someone admiring its beauty way before they even notice my ring . She is also not the type of person that is trying to pass off her Moissanite as a diamond , she tells everyone it’s a Moissanite and she chose it for its extreme fire and color . I think the people that truly love this gem for its true beauty , fire and dispersion don’t choose the crushed ice looking version of it . Trying to make it look like a diamond truly ruins the beauty of this gemstone . I see a lot of these crushed ice Moissanite stones looking super cloudy in regular every day lighting . I find the crushed ice Moissanite is alot easier to spot that it’s not a diamond , compared to say a round brilliant Moissanite like the 1 she shows here in this video . It’s just so much clearer to me. But hey everyone has their own preference I guess 🥰

@@leeleelv I'm not a huge fan of the crushed ice cut in diamond or moissanite. Yeah, I don't understand either that obsession people have in making their moissanite look like diamond. Moissanite is everything that cubic zirconia couldn't be, it can actually stand on its own as an alternative instead of just trying to be a clone. That fire in moissanite is absolutely second to none. My first moissanite piece was a 23 carat tennis bracelet (sub $600) and it is an absolute stunner. The stones are D colorless, VVS1 eye clear and just dazzles. To get something close in diamond would have been close to 100K which is beyond ridiculous. Diamonds are effectively dead for me. That final hurdle will be getting people to let go of that shame (of owning something other than a diamond) that has been programmed and conditioned into them. It's wonderful that the younger generations are discovering moissanite. It's also a great time too, they're better made and less expensive now. Moissanite made today are far better than the earlier ones that were first made over 20 yrs ago, they've got the process nailed down. Those earlier ones were colored and brittle so were prone to chips. Sadly, there are still jewelers out there that saw the first moissanites and are still tainted by that impression so have written moissanite off.

see, omg nobody notices… I can even see comments here saying they like the “crushed ice” oval more! I can easily tell at one look! It has a lot of windowings “clear” dead spots that is transparent-that’s a cubic zirconia! and you can see its color is on the slightly bluer shade of white-a cz trait! moissanites tend to be on a faint yellow shade of white and don’t show windowings or “transparent/glassy” spots. AND I have the exact same ring shipped from china. it was marketed as 9 carat 9x13mm “lab created moissanite” has a hidden halo with small cz’s and a half eternity silver925 band that looks rhodium plated. in all fairness for me description somehow says cz and it was around 20-22 dollars cheap so it was clear that it wasn’t moissanite. that vosali could be a SCAM. that shine and rainbow effect is screaming CZ idk why nobody notices that here 🤦🏻

I agree , the crushed iced Moissanite does not have the sparkle a crushed iced diamond would . I find Moissanite to be super beautiful because of its color sparkle and because it sparkles different than a diamond . When these companies try to cut it like a diamond , I think they are ruining its true beauty . I find crushed ice Moissanite that I’ve seen tends to look cloudy and milky just like you said . The brilliant cuts sparkle so much more , then again I have always been partial to round brilliant cut diamonds , they are my absolute favorite cut of diamond , nothing sparkles like a round brilliant diamond . From what I’ve seen the same looks true for this beautiful Moissanite gem . That round brilliant is so much clearer , has so much more sparkle and just stands out way more ! I guess it’s a personal preference, like anything else .

Is it just me, why do simulated stones have a blue hue to them. That is what i dont like and why i prefer dimonds. Dimonds may not have the rambow fire but they are still beautifull and sparkly. But at lest the stones dont look blue. Im i the only one that sees that? Not saying they aren't pretty infact i have a few and love them but i like the look and sparkle of a diamond over a cz or mosinights. (I have no idea how to spell that). I also certainly wouldn't turn down if my husband bought me one.

Just by the looks of this video, it seems pretty clear to me that your Marquette is Leaning more H =Yellow and your Oval is More Clear Leaning to a D Color . I have a radiant that came with a GRA certificate and it’s white and looks gorgeous in all lights. The heart from india was much cheaper and it looks very dark steely gray in direct sunlight or at night under street lights. Where as my radiant still looks white and clear. That said, I love the fire and brilliance, and you don't get that as much with crushed ice. I wonder if a hybrid cut might be more my style.

I sent them a message on the millimeter size on the 5 carat and they say it's a 9 ×11. That's definitely not a 5 ct but still good size. They are supposed to base it off millimeters and not weight. The basic 2ct moissanite is a 9×7 which I have and it's rather small. Their "5ct" is still bigger than what I have and although a good price! I assume the stones on the band are cz tho 🤔. I have the exact same one shipped from china marketed as 9-carat 9x13 oval “lab created moissanite” but somehow description says cz. it has a hidden halo that has tiny cz’s too and a half eternity band. you can see her crushed ice oval is more on the bluer shade of whiteness-that’s how you can tell a cz! moissanites are on the yellower shade of whiteness. and the sparkle is really really not the same.

This is not true. I have a white blue-ish toned split shank halo ring with a round GRA brilliant cut moisanite in the halo.

The large size stones with the particular settings and prongs make all the rings look really fake. You can tell good quality stones because they are put in more secure looking settings. The prongs on all these rings are cringe-worthy. The stones do not look real to me, especially the marquis. Looks like costume jewelry.

Does anybody know how long a ring is supposed to take to get to you? I ordered one off Etsy to and it’s been almost 2 months and I still haven’t received it? Is that normal? And it is coming from Arizona, so whenever I asked the guy about my ring being done he’ll say yes it’s done it should be shipping out and then two weeks later he says the same thing so I am just confused, and we paid allot of money for it.

They may order it from an out the country 3rd party company. Some shops on Etsy are supplied from elsewhere and are "the middle guy" and make profit from doing so. Wishing you the best!

Moissanite are a real gemstone. It’s not a “fake diamond” it’s a stone just like emeralds/opals. Just tend to be closer to look like a diamond!

I appreciate the video. You need to learn about stones and what makes them valuable before you talk about it with many "I don't know" comments. U have no clue about how they treat moisenite or how it even supposed to look. Glad u enjoy the jewelry, though.

They all look cheep and tacky to me. I would go with a much higher quality Moisanite in a more modest size, set in gold or platinum. Looks like junk.

The bigger they are the faker they look. I take into consideration the woman who wears them and her entire appearance and demeanor. If she wears tacky clothes, nails, makeup and hair and I see that huge “Diamond” I know it’s a fake. It’s all fake and it doesn’t look good then. Women need to take all of that into consideration when they pick out a ring, how do they dress in general??

Those Indian shops are very shady. If you do visual search on a picture of one of their rings on Etsy, you can see many shops with exactly the same picture. I think they steal pictures from legitimate jewelry makers and send you a shitty re-make. And the women in the reviews are so blinded with engagement happiness that they don’t even notice or care, so they leave misleading 5-star reviews.
