Friend, I know you said you started this music project to complement your beard oil business, but (as I'm sure you've realized) you could have a career in music. Do you have prior experience in music composition? I'm sure games would love to pick up your music; it works really well as combat music. Like, if anyone ever made a Nordic equivalent to the Polish-inspired Witcher, your work would be a good fit. Personally, I found you because I was looking for dark folk music to sort of be the soundtrack in my head for some fiction I'm writing (fantasy with folk-horror elements), and I thought: if my work ever got adapted to the screen, your music would be perfect for certain scenes. The Hellblade soundtrack is the only other music that has inspired me to the higher degrees. You're an inspiration, keep it up!

It's kind of funny because there wasn't enough music out there that brought a modern cinematic and dancey vibe to the Norse genre so I originally began Aethyrien so I could listen to it. 😁 I had a lot of fun experimenting with how far I could take it. I still listen to many of my tracks in the car 😂 Inspiration almost always comes from nature in some shape or form. I'll either start with a drone or ambience to feel out the vibe, I may play with the tagelharpa a bit for a melody and before you know it, it just kind of unfolds from there. 🙂🖤

Definitely going to be playing this on my next hike. Thank You for sharing

Hahaha. And you are becoming a familiar name I love seeing popping up in my notifications. :D I'm glad you enjoy it. I have tons of stuff in the works at the moment and considering doing more mixes in the future. Danheim and many others of the Norse music community really do a good job capturing the primal aspect of the genre. I think I enjoy bringing a cinematic and brutally intense atmosphere to the genre that you don't find too often.

Definitely agree about other Nordic artists. Danheim is chill and gives me a mental picture of the mountains and forests. This mix for sure is hype music for a brutal war. I picture berserkers raging and howling and vikings laughing as they cross the rough seas at night. When this mix comes on, the kids grab their foam swords and start running around the house, slashing, rolling and jabbing at each other little beasts 😂😂 They go in a trance with Danheim but they turn into little warriors with your music. The brutality is what makes its so intense!
