AETHYRIEN - Óðr (Full album)

Музыка

Óðr (pronounced roughly “OH-thur,” with a hard “th” as in “the”) is an Old Norse word that has no direct equivalent in modern English, but essentially portrays the overwhelming sensation of divine inspiration, or the feeling you'd get standing before an inspiring god or goddess. I wrote this album leading up to me leaving the coast, the only place I have truly felt like home. When I expected to feel sadness, I continued to be overwhelmed with inspiration. I learned to mentally be present within every breath I took out there, breathing in the sea's air, taking in the sounds and feeling the peace and serenity that naturally lies deep within me. Having such an insane sense of inspiration for this short album, Óðr was the only name that made sense for this album.

Excellent music I am listening through a pair of transmission line loudspeaker cabinets that I built many years ago and just recently restored them being listening to a lot of deep dark music Viking war music and there’s not much music that can make my building shake but this is one of them. Luckily I live by myself in the middle of the French countryside, 70 year young dude, keep up the great work very enjoyable. Phil from the moulin France.

Years ago in meditation and creative writing I started imagining my own world... creative visualization... sort of like the Robin Williams movie, What Dreams May Come. I've always loved myths, legends, fables, ancient history, and fantasy fiction of course -- so that was the essence of my What Dreams May Come... I called that world Aethyria or Aethyrea, imagined to be within a universe where human dream lands are real (Pryzmea). This music is almost tailored to a world in which magic, gods, dragons, immortal heroes, fey-folk (etc) are real -- Aethyria.

I have a sincere song request, feel free to ignore, I take no offense. However, the request is thus; a song about modi, son of thor, lord of the bjarnskyna-berserkir, father of emma the world healer, brother of magne, god of combat, fury, odr, runes, war, death. But the human lives he's lived have all been filled with tradegy. But at the end we all realize tradgedy is just a sacrifice we must make to ourselves; the culmination of all the pain, suffering and hardships, all to make one'self better. It should feel like a proclamation, a self-recognition, a venting of all that trauma and also a sacrifice of it to himself to make himself stronger. Nobody is making songs on modi, everybody forgets modi, son of thor and grandson of odin. The only recognise magne at best, due to his freakish strength.
