I was thinking the same exact thing. I couldn't wrap my mind around this when I was in elementary school when I heard the 70s material. I have always liked the "new voice" much more. It's the iconic Steven Tyler voice. The other just sounds like somebody else. You could be forgiven for thinking there were 2 singers!

One of the very few singers, from the 60's to the '90s, that actually still sound amazing today. I just started listening to Aerosmith...this is my favorite song so far.

That's because when they started Steven was very young and in some ways still sound like a child.. heard some Demos and his voice was very sweet.. so to sing rock n roll he used to lower the tone a bit... one of the best singers in history.

to us it sounds as if he screams on the top of his lungs, but to him it's just his natural voice ,and it doesn't cost him any energy to sing like that.

Thank you for all the rocking music and making my life so much more liveable throughout my teens. Aerosmith was the bridge between Guns 'N Roses and Led Zeppelin for me, and were so influential for me. I had Pump and Permanent Vacation before I randomly bought their greatest hits album and discovered they had a whole amazing career before I was born or knew anything about music.

Me and my pal were third row deep, Steven defo heard us shouting at a couple of points. Never noticed he had face paint on tho. Was out of my mind. Boss show. Never too old to rock n' roll.

Great performance!

Every note counts rather in key or not. Great live song. GnR did a great cover of this song and I can go on forever. I am grateful to have been on this earth for 50 years and to have been able to hear some of the greatest rock and roll ever played.
