(4K, 2023) Aer Lingus Airbus A320-200 (EI-DVM - "Retojet") takeoff from Runway 27R at London Heathrow, operating flight EI723 to Cork, Ireland in early August 2023. Skip to the takeoff at timestamp 00:40. I don't normally record videos from this flight route anymore as I have recorded it many, many times. However, on this flight I was a transfer passenger, booked as a connecting flight with British Airways, and so I couldn't select my preferred seat in front of the engine. Instead, I was assigned seat 24F, behind the wing. Since I haven't recorded from this position in a long while, I thought, why not? The flight was almost 2-hours late, due to very dreary and stormy weather in Heathrow earlier in the day (despite being mid-summer!) and resulting ATC restrictions. We waited an hour to pushback due to the backlog of flights. The late time of day made for some nice shots in the setting sun when there was gaps in the cloud coverage!
