Aymond had the ability to form bonds with dragons, allowing him to cooperate with them and lead them into battle. Dragons were especially picky about their riders, and generally could only be piloted or controlled by their chosen partner. In Aymond's case, he was initially dragon-deprived as a child, unable to connect with any of the beasts in King's Landing. He was eventually able to establish a connection with Vhagar, the largest and oldest dragon in existence at the time. Vhagar was perhaps the most formidable creature in the world and was of great value to Eymond's family.❤
