AEF~NEFL Nest Cam~V3 arrived shortly after 10 am this morning with prey squirrel in talons. V3 proceeded to begin eating the prey, on and off for over an hour. V3 then seemed to spot something and alerted and vocalized indicating someone had landed in the nest tree. A beautiful Sub Adult eagle was found by the cam ops. As the sub adult tried to come to the nest V3 was able to flush him out. It appears the sub adult only stayed for about 5 mins and was probably looking for an easy meal. V3 about 10 mins later finished up the squirrel in a few big gulps! V3 did well protecting his prey and the nest! nefleaglecam.org/
