This channel is dedicated to clips and highlights from our various bald eagle nest cams. The American Eagle Foundation has cameras placed in and around four active bald eagle nests. Our Northeast Florida nest is the home of Samson and Gabrielle and their new family, baby eaglets Romy and Jules. We have a camera in the nest of Mr. President and The first Lady, who make the National Arboretum in Washington DC their home. Thanks to the US Fish and Wildlife Services we have a camera at the Welaka National Fish Hatchery in North Florida. And our flagship bald eagle cam at Eagle Mountain Sanctuary at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. This special cam shows that nests mated pair, Grant and Glenda as well as a camera that shows many of the other resident bald eagles at the sanctuary. So funny watching Gabby wrestle with that stick, getting her foot and whole body involved trying to conquer it. She finally got it to lie down but it popped right back up again. It's lying down now, but for how long? That stick has a mind of its own! ❤

The AEF community is still trying to wrap their heads around on how Samson actually managed to fly to the nest with that full grown pine tree (sarcastism). Between this nest and SWFL I thick we need to rewrite the science that magnificent birds do have an array of emotion. All of this has saddened me but I always remind myself of the legacies to each nest. For now I will wipe my eyes and enjoy the wonderful gift you have given us. Thank you.

Ah - I have seen chatters attribute a huge sentimental value to that stick :) I still remember Samson and Gabrielle bringing a fairly chunky stick to the nest, a couple of years ago - it looked like a log for the Christmas fire! Have you considered, as a way of funding, auctioning that stick, off season? Dr Peter Sharpe did that with a rectangular block of wood one of the Channel Islands fledglings brought to the nest, as a toy, three years ago :)

Beautiful display of Gabby's Feathers and out stretched flight feathers. V3 still has to learn that Gabby - The Queen of Hamlet and the Matriarch of NEFL - is the one that calls all the rules within her domain. Also needs to learns Samson's Catch and Release while hovering over the nest. Their eaglets will not be so forgiving as Gabby.
