@Ken Hudson it is his bit, he is going against what people like to get views. The idea that this movie was good but movies like Constantine and Hocus Pocus were complete shit......you believe he actually thinks that, do you also believe strippers really love you.

rckblzr12 I’m still upset most at his daredevil review for 2 reasons 1. He kept complaining about Matt’s powers being contradictory to actually loosing his sight even though the sonar still can’t let him read anything or even see AT ALL if there is no sound to hear and 2. Being that he doesn’t understand the significance of Matt being rattled by that child being afraid of him even though he only fights criminals and sees himself as a protector............. actually, add Hulk too because a lot, if not MOST of the emotional abuse subtext of the film goes WAYYYYYYYY over his head, goes to show that he REALLY only takes comic book characters at face value and can’t really analyze the entirety of them unless it’s DIRECTLY spelled out for him (see: the recent reviews of the Raimi Spider-Man Trilogy)

Whether you loved or hated this movie, there's one thing everybody overlooks at... The people who made this movie watched tons of Rocky & Bullwinkle episodes to make this movie and even brought in the late June Foray (R.I.P.) to reprise as Rocky, so you got to give credit to the movie for at least trying to stay close to the original source material. Unlike other live action cartoon movies who NEVER or very little stay close to their original source materials.

Bryan Egelhoff's Animation Tech Nation yeah but Roger Ebert hated Tora Tora Tora a realistic and highly accurate film about pearl harbor and nearly every stunt with planes, vehicles and such is all practical effects, they even crashed a plane into a real hanger... I'll say that again... a real hanger, it's up there with Waterloo. And one of his reasons is so fucking stupid I literally dropped my jaw, one of his reasons was that you now what's going to happen... let me say that again, one of the reasons he hated it is because you knew what was going to happen... WHAT THE FLYING FUCK!?!?!? He gave Titanic a better score, even though you knew what was going to happen, in fact... he gave Pearl Harbor, a better score... WHAT THE FLYING FUCK

Something that still boggles my mind: _Who Framed Roger Rabbit?_ was released in 1988, and they absolutely nailed the meshing of animation and live action; it's done flawlessly. Yet in the following THIRTY YEARS no one else has even come close. How is that possible? EDIT: I am coming back 5 years later to say that the _Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers_ movie also got it down flawlessly. It only took Hollywood 34 years to do it again.

This is honestly my favorite live action movie based on a cartoon for many reasons. Yes, it's genuinely funny and the 4th wall jokes are very clever at times, but for me, why I love it was because it was a faithful and respectful adaptation of the original cartoon. There was only one "hip-hop" joke and it had a purpose with Bullwinkle being convinced it's not the 60s anymore and foreshadows his antlers reflecting off electricity at the ending. See, purpose. They did things that fit within their personality and character from the show and they don't talk potty humor or have a single fart joke. The characters designs are 100% accurate designs from the show that had a reason why they don't look like photorealistic animals because they're already cell-shaded cartoons, especially now, they have to make the characters have real fur or semi-realistic body proportions and they could've easily had done that, but they went the extra mile to match the art style of the original series to a tea. And they went as far as getting the voice actor from the original cartoon, and the live action characters being celebrities makes sense when you know they've manifested into what Hollywood would've done to them in live-action. Because "They were attached to the project." But, I also felt the movie's message is honestly pretty deep. The main character is someone who adored the original cartoon since she was a kid a had looked up to them, but once she became an adult, everyone made her reject her childhood and make her a hard-nose, cold and determined person when she's actually a sweet person who's made to have _care and sympathy_ (get it?) But once she actually meets Rocky and Bullwinkle in person, that inner child is slowly coming out until she learns to keep in touch with her youthful self. I think we all relate to that because we all have that cartoon we love and we don't wanna grow up, but the world makes you put away childhood things by growing up. And there's nothing wrong with being who you are and what you like, personally and it's okay to keep in touch to your own inner child, no matter how old you are. And this was made in 2000, way before KZread comments had people say "I remember this cartoon. So much better than the crap today." I feel like this movie was ahead of it's time with that message that had it come out today, it probably could've been a more respected movie, not because it's funny and faithful, but because of it's message it was trying to tell.

This is one of my favorite movies due to the fact that it's a perfect recreation of one of my favorite TV shows. It's intentionally bad, just like the show. That's the gag. It's camp. Good camp, at that. It knows when it's terrible and it revels in it. Heck, even the pointless cameos are a nod to the show. Everything in it is perfect. But then, I'm just a pathetic fanboy for purposefully bad jokes and groan-inducing puns. Give me a character who takes sick delight in torturing the audience with awful gags and I'm in love immediately.

Actually, what I meant to say is that some films aren't meant to be motion pictures, even if adapted perfectly. Take that Ratchet & Clank film for example. Even though it arguably is the best straight video game adaptation out there, it fails to appeal to a mainstream audience. Still, if you're a Ratchet fan, you'd likely find enjoyment in the film.

Speaking of June, in her defense, she was getting on in years. And much as I adore her and her voice work, even *I'll* admit it can get irritating using the same voices over and over again. In short, she doesn't sound depressed just to appease the script, but because while she's giving it her all, she *was* roughly in her early 90's-late 80's at the time.

I liked it. I think this was a proper way to represent and reflect his feelings about how he disagreed with the hate towards it. I can tell by looking at the clips of this film why someone would hate it. It feels like it's another movie having the characteristics of a really absurd bad comedy movie. Though I think he felt like it suited the cartoon was originally. This is just his opinion though. It was bound for him to at some point disagree with the masses with how they felt about it. Everyone, including you and me, will at some point disagree with how others view a movie.

Nope, because in their source material they were all 2D art styles. Also the movie itself even questions why Rocky and Bullwinkle are CGI but Boris, Natasha, and Fearless Leader are real people. I always just assumed it's because Rocky and Bullwinkle are anthropomorphic animals so they have to be CGI while making the villains CGI when they're human anyway it's easier to just hire actors that look the part rather than animating them.
