No doubt This is the best ever filmed video of the steam loco chugging all the way across the steep gradients I watched this video on the giant screen twice i still miss those huffing chuffiing whistle hooting beauties of the bygone majestic steam era❤ from India 🇮🇳

I know this line very well from childhood days. Sad to see it today 😢 trees growing through the tracks. This is supposed to be a National Treasure. The Railways used to be SA's Pride.

Drove the length of the line from Port Elizabeth to Avontuur on the roads alongside in 2013. Also the branch to Hankey and Patensie. Just very sad to have seen everything going into disuse and oblivion.
