ADVENTURE IN THE BOULDER MOUNTAIN RANGE NEAR SUN VALLEY IDAHO: HIKING AND CLIMBING SILVER PEAK
Idaho's Silver Peak sits tucked in-between Easley Peak to the North and Boulder Peak to the south just off the Sawtooth Scenic Byway. All three peaks are highly visible from the Sawtooth Scenic Byway in the Boulder Mountain Range. This is the Boulder Mountain Range's main crest just north of Sun Valley and Ketchum. Silver Peak is a popular scramble for the area and the views of the valley below from the ridge-line are a must see. Silver Lake Road will take you right up close to Silver Lake canyon. Silver Lake sits in a gorgeous mountain cirque while Silver Peak towers overhead at 11,112 feet to the east. This short and sweet adventure to the top requires no less than a class 3 scramble to conquer. Sharpen some skills on this great little scramble!

That's amazing that your kids were able to do that. I can't imagine at that age having the confidence to climb a mountain, much less one covered in loose rock.

Absolutely love that road. Definitely gets a bit sketchy on those last switchbacks. It’s an amazing spot to hangout around sunset. Thanks for sharing and sparking some great memories!

It’s was pretty washed out when we went up there from the early June snowstorm. We actually saw some people headed up there for sunset when we were coming out. Definitely headed back to that area for more adventures in the future 😁👍🏼

No more switchbacks. They moved the trailhead down about 3/4 of a mile.

Can't wait to see your video on your hike to Hyndman. I attempted it a couple of years ago, and had to turn back due to the wind just like you did in this video.

I’m super pumped for Hyndman to come out 😁! I had a beautiful day for it fortunately 👍🏼. I loved that peak! Bummer about the wind, hopefully the video will spark a fire to go back and conquer Hyndman👍🏼 cheers Ryan!
Great video, really enjoyed watching. Drove by that mountain and was considering attempting it at some point. Lot of great insight on what to expect.
