Advances in Multimodality Imaging in Valvular Heart Disease (Victoria Delgado, MD)

Dr. Delgado uses multimodality imaging to evaluate patients with valvular heart disease, showing improved diagnostic accuracy and facilitating risk stratification. In addition, multimodality imaging has provided new pathophysiological insights that permit planning potential interventions earlier or the development of medical therapies that can halt the progression of the disease.
Objectives:
1. To understand the role of multimodality imaging to improve the accuracy of diagnosing valvular heart disease.
2. To learn new forms of risk stratification of patients with valvular heart disease by using multimodality imaging
