This intermediate plateau thing is soooo real, specially because in daily conversations we won't see people using the congiuntivo, these connectives like "bensí, affinché, purché", therefore it is really difficult to remember all of them. One day I will get through and arrive at the c1 level, but so far I am still stuck 😅

Exactly! Those words are so rarely used 😂 and I still mix them up all the time, but I really want to practice them and do my best to use them.

When I returned from the school in Bologna, I felt really confident and I was doing well but over the last week, I have struggled. I literally could not think of simple words that I know when I had my italki session on Sunday. Sometimes I feel like I will never get it.

Don’t worry, this happens to me all the time! Some weeks I genuinely feel like I can’t string together even the simplest sentences and it’s so frustrating. Or sometimes during my italki sessions I feel like I’m babbling nonsense and don’t know a lot of words. 😂 It happens, it’s all part of the process!

You mean just trying to learn by immersing yourself in the language without traditional study methods? I’m not sure what you mean by acquisition method. I think immersing yourself with the language by listening to music and podcasts and watching TV series and movies and hearing people talk is helpful, but I think studying some grammar and vocabulary is essential so you can make sense of what you’re hearing.

I may have missed it but what’s the name of the website you use that gives you topics to talk about? I always just google random topic generator but I usually don’t like all the options it gives
