    To expand on that, both doings are extremely wrong. Writing fanfics at 13 means you’re being exposed to things you shouldn’t be, which is horrible. My parents know everything I’m doing, they don’t want me to end up a fanfic writer. Neither do they want me doxxing children. I’m currently 14

  • @ursimp7774

    @ursimp7774

    6 ай бұрын

    @@EpictimerealLet me apologize in advance for my poor English and lengthy message. Although I agree with doxxing being a crime, as fellow teenagers, I believe we have completely opposing views. Then please enlighten me, peer, when is the right time to be getting exposed to the darker side of things? When you're well into your twenties? I disagree. You're supposed to be learning about the world as you mature with time, by limiting how a teenager's imagination and brain work, (which in this case was totally natural because 13 year olds get the darnest of ideas. They need at least a proper way to sort them out otherwise society would be left with a bunch of troubled youths and lunatics who know neither what's right or wrong), you are slowing down that child's process of maturing. Writing fictions is a way of figuring things out. How can you understand the true horrors of harrassment, violence and abuse, if you have never once pictured it? If someone hasn't been exposed to this crime called doxxing, how would they know it is a cruel act committed against somebody else and not to do it simply out of spite? If someone can go way deep into these topics in writing, then can you truly say with confidence that they have not realized more than you have? Let's say you're an adult who have never in your life, been exposed to bad media. What are the chances that you dismiss the gratification of a certain topic because you lack acknowledgement regarding its dangers? In my country, people don't care enough about abuse because they used to think hurting children was the way to go, literally everything was justified because they're the parents. Abuse? No, they call it "discipline". They hone words of wisdom like "Violence is never the answer" yet always leave their own flesh and blood with countless bruises and wounds inside out. One can argue they were the kids who never got exposed to the truth of how much of an impact child abuse has on a person. I am a both a witness and, objectively, a victim. I stand by the words of "To ignore is to be uneducated. Turning a blind eye only leads down a path of ignorance for the whole generation." You can live the way you and your parents want, but others don't have to. You can hold onto your beliefs, but that doesn't mean others who live by their own have anything to repent about. Not unless those harm you in some ways, shapes, or forms, which fictional products of creativity don't, as long as you know what you read. Not your cup of tea? Goes against your morals? Avoid. Don't consume. Don't judge.

    I have similar situations as you but this one is really different in two timelines: After I have my first Facebook account at the age of 15 (since 12/24/11) during high school, I recieved negative replies by 20 year olds (mostly female users) with both bitter words and all-caps, and I blame myself with guilt tripping. This was happen on Sailor Moon Fan Page on Facebook. Another incident happen later back in between 2016 to 2018 during my early 20s, the Facebook group (don't want to mention their name because I don't want to ruined their reputations) was also toxic because some of the people (again, older individuals) carrying their ultra egos and narcissism from their personal double standards, until I was called out from them with their hateful comments while berating against me because once again, another "inappropriate" posts I just posted in their group. Unfortunately, only 2 people stood up for me, and I immediately deactivated for 2 weeks and later came back on, but again, another deactivating for few months until on Christmas Eve, and later deleted my Facebook account the following month later on early-mid January 2019. There you have it, my worst, toxic personal experiences I had as underaged high schooler minor, and an early 20 year old.

    From what I seen about all of this, the person who was doxxed simply wrote storys that can be considered dark or "edgy", which is fine, writing about dark themes in a story or as a way to vent your emotions is a great thing, either for your mental health or just creative writing. The fact that a group of people can go after a person who hasn't even went though puberty, and still have the gull to act like they did the right, and even say that the person should be taken to a mental hospital when they are the ones threatening to stab, and punch a child, and even get their parents involved and using scare tactics is not only sad and pathetic, but done right cruel and evil. I really hope who ever these people are, they check themselves in, and learn how to be more mature then a pre-teen

  • @logitimate

    Just FYI: A "gull" is a type of bird. "Gall" is a synonym for "bile," a substance produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder, which plays a role in digestion. The latter is the substance referred to when describing someone as "having the gall" to do something outrageous, from the pre-scientific "humoral" theory of medicine, according to which human health and character were governed by the balance of four "humors" (meaning, in this context, body fluids): blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile. In this theory, an excess of yellow bile was believed to produce a "choleric" (from the greek word "chole," meaning "bile," also the root of the words "cholesterol" and "cholera") temperament, characterized by (among other things) an excess of anger and aggression. (I also agree with the substance of your comment; I just wanted to share a minor correction and associated linguistic information.)

    A niche subject usually brings together a really insecure "core" group. The less accepted/wide spread the subject is, the more insecure they are. Insecurity often leads them to be sensitive, over defensive and over reactive. If you are in such a group... its really hard to really see it objectively, because everyone's behavior makes sense to them. The only way to prevent situations like this in the future is to understand their situation first, which is hard, because no one really wants to feel empathetic for such peoples.

    @ShroomTube to hell with the police. They're nothing but state dogs and won't do a damned thing they aren't told to. We need to take a page out of the enemy's book and take the initiative ourselves. Infiltration, subversion, false flagging, intimidation, identity obfuscation, and mob violence. We are not going to win by being peaceable and polite. The first stone has been cast and we've turned our cheek time and time again. Let me catch or find out any of these guys live near me and they'll be seen about. You should do the same, brother. The head of the snake must be crushed..

It’s not like we went from being able to call police to living in a police state. These days the issues are just more talked about, in essense they are still the same police officers you’d have called when you were not much younger than you are now.
