Well that's the thing. With internet celebs they're on the brackets being in between celeb status and regular people. Since they didnt get chosen by a record producer or have an agent, when they upload online people get a closeness to them as if they are there. The problem is that they dont see the celeb part. Not saying they arent still people but the fact that one fan or follower might see them, alot more others do as well. I wouldnt consider many youtubers even her as a celeb like Hollywood actors, singers, athletes and such. But she does have a large following and such an attachment to her followers, in their eyes shes like their popular friend at school.

Agreed. The only reason I still use Twatter is for gaming and anime-related content and for following certain KZreadrs whom I'm subbed to that still have active accounts there.

I watch emirichu on KZread and never thought she would go through this but I’m glad she took the appropriate action and hopefully this guy will leave her alone.

The funniest thing is: Emily is really nice to her fans! I asked her to voice one character for my video (she just got 1 mil subs at the time and I had 8 subs) and she did! She did a splendid job, just as I wanted. She could have ignored me, I am an ultra small youtuber still but she didn't. If Emily gets hate like that I can't even imagine what other big youtubers go through. P.S. I don't think Hero Hei deserves hate either, HH is more of a journalist with opinions, not someone just craping on others for fun.

He didn't exactly articulate his point that well but I think what he's getting at is that reporting the guy to the police quietly and taking care of things behind the scenes would have been smarter thank posting it on twitter. Though, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Emily actually censored his username and such so it's not as if she was publicly crucify the guy. All she really did was made the message itself public, not the individual. So yeah, the guy made a bad take but I can KINDA see what he was trying to point out. Even though it doesn't really apply in the situation.

Ive mentioned my favorite creators before on an instagram story. Lots of times (not to annoy them but to tell them that I support them a lot) Surprisingly they answered once and never again I dont mind but im glad they know i even exist Good job to that person by getting noticed in the worst possible way.

I feel her. It sucks. This has happened to me before. Some person had gotten in my DMs, wanting to chat. That was fine. But I was busy, so I often couldn’t reply to messages. Then one day when I just wanted some free quick time to myself, I posted some artwork in one of my social medias. This guy then decided Pop back in again to be snarky, saying stuff like “Feels great to be ignored” or something. I apologized And told them that I wasn’t able to reply very often because I was busy. However, they still went on. Saying stuff like “But you posted art. So you must have free time”. They continued to argue back until I told them to cut that crap, and that we were done talking. I was patient. But the way they were talking to me had made me just not motivated to talk to them anymore. I don’t watch Emirichu. But maybe I should, to show support. I just hope that guy learns some lesson one way or another. Emirichu herself seems to be like a sweet person. Anyone who decides to act like this upon someone like her, are those who obviously try to emotionally manipulate others.

Happened to me as well on social media but with a class mate in school. Long story short, he too said all this shit and later threatened me and went as far to threat that he would hurt (violence) my little sister who was also studying at my school. Of course I reported this to the principal, my parents and his parents. Thankfully nothing went wrong.

I really feel bad that erimichu is getting attacked by a nutcase she's a nice girl she would never hurt a fly so let's all give her support and show her that us the real fans care about her and love her no matter what

I personally think that publicity with serious actions can be very controversial, but I think that it is often the right thing to do. Publicizing threats helps others understand what you go through and it documents what is happening in case someone acts on it one day. I will never say Emily is wrong about anything that she said, she has 2.33m subs as of rn (I was watching her earlier lol), so having so many people dm you and wanting to talk to you can be too overwhelming and she just might not be able to handle it. Also when threats feel serious, even if they are not, since she is a big content creator with a pretty big social media platform, taking personal threats to the police may be your only reassurance or it may be the right thing to do.

The reason people bully on the internet: Jealousy (Envy): One of the many challenges of being an artist is dealing with people who are jealous. Normally jealous people act 1 in 3 ways; they either bully, emotionally abuse someone by making them feel guilty for being good, or they just be the good person and leave it alone, maybe even try to get as good by practicing or whatever. Normally when bullying occurs, jealousy is part of the act. Maybe they are jealous of her art, how famous she is, or how "innocent" she seems to be, maybe her life seems perfect and she doesn't feel the need to talk or rant about her problems (I don't know her well either) Anger: obviously anger can be triggered by anything. This includes being ignored, gossiped about, betrayed, or some other thing. Jealousy also sparks anger and resentfulness. Insecurity (pain): Weather someone has been abused or bullied in the past or they have had a traumatic experience or they are just emotional due to a disability or multiple disabilities (like me, lol), bullies love taking their pain out on others. It's easier on the internet than anywhere else. Jealousy can be a trigger but so can something as little as being ignored. Any kind of abuse, even the smallest of abuse, can make someone go insane. It hurts to be bullied, and when you admire someone so much and they ignore you, it triggers something. It makes you crazy enough to be selfish cause you want people to like you and pay attention to you, especially those you "admire". Parents: On the topic of abuse, a person may also react this way because of their parents. Maybe their parents have taught them these things or allowed the world to teach them these things and decided not to do anything about it, perhaps they abused them. Maybe their parents are people who also act like that online, triggering a "monkey see, monkey do" type moment. As for what I have to say about this. We all have our own types of suffering, we all get hurt, abused, angry, and jealous, but even after all I have just mentioned, I still don't feel the slightest bit of remorse for that chick who decided that threatening an artist, who devotes her time, energy, and money into making these videos, is acceptable. There is NO EXCUSE for bullying, threatening, or cussing someone out for ignoring you. You are not the most important or only person out there. She probably has TONS of fans filling her DMS that she has to deal with already along with working to entertain you and all her other fans. Jealous? Work on yourself and your talents! Get better! Don't let jealousy condemn you in any way. Bullying or abusing someone in ANYWAY won't help you get better, instead you are wasting time you could be using to get better! Being ignored? Too bad! Move on! Maybe text her with a KIND message and understand that you are not the center of everything she does! She has a life to! She's not our entertainment slave! I don't care if you have insecurities or a bad backstory, at least half the population does! If you are old enough to have the intelligence to threaten someone like this then you have the ability to have enough common sense to know what is right and wrong regardless of your upbringing. The only acception to this is if you are mentally insane, in that case, you should be in a mental hospital instead of on the internet threatening people. Sorry for my rant, I'm just so tired of innocent artists being mistreated. If I said anything bad, please KINDLY tell me and I may correct it if needed.

Then the fan gets upset when she says that she can’t reply to them all, which makes his reasoning insensible. Not only that, I understand the threatener was in their worst times, but seeking out a random KZreadr for help isn’t sensible either. These people that are hidden in these communities and fandoms really aren’t true fans if they are going to great lengths to threaten people over things so trivial they shouldn’t even have an eyelash batted at them. And in times like this when KZreadrs are working as hard as they can to produce content that’s fun for people while we’re all stuck inside, we can’t expect them to make ends meet most of the time.

I don’t get Twitter or people anymore at this point, people need to realize not everyone is gonna respond in time or even respond at all. The fact they threatened emi one of the nicest and sweetest people ever on YT is disgusting, and sometimes people don have the fucking (sorry for the language) time to answer somebody. Sorry that it might be wrong to say this whole thing but I just wanted to share my feelings.

I honestly don't know who would get so worked up at a woman who just wants to have a good time. Seriously. Emily is quite possibly one of the sweetest, cutest, and most talented KZreadrs I've ever seen on this platform. The fact that this one asshole got so pissed off over "being ignored" is idiotic. You are free to DM your favorite content creator, actor, whatever have you. But don't expect him/her to reply. They already have to go through SO many messages from SO many other people that support him/her that it's basically impossible to get to all of them. I can't say I've been in that situation, but I know how stressful it can be. I hope Emily and her family are staying safe, staying healthy, and staying awesome. And I hope all of you guys are, too!
