Things I’d rather do than a back crossover: 1. Waltz jump 2. Salchow jump 3. Split on the ice 4. Pet a shark

It looks like I'm going to be working on Backward Crossovers forever too 🤣

WOW so cool. YAY!!!! For three turns my coach tells me that i rush them . Ur supposed to feel a kind of momentum or push and that kinda helps me to turn the other way- I still suck at them in general tho especially on certain sides. I also do it a lil differently from you but I thought I’d share that knowledge 😃. Great progress especially for 26 months! I skated with a 70 year old the other day and I, 19 years old could not keep up and eventually tripped on my toe pick and fell out of exhaustion LOL. Anyone can do it.

Thanks for watching! I will try out your suggestion when I practice later this week... I probably need to skate faster to feel that momentum, haha! 😅 I'm hoping I still have the ability to skate when I'm 70 too!

Hello Jen! I'm so happy I came across your channel. Im a newbie beginner skater who started in my mid twenties and the way you show your progress has been very helpful and relaxing to watch as well. Do you also share on instagram? Would love to follow you on there as well. Hope to see much more of your progress! X

That's great you started skating as an adult too! My progress is slow, but I'm glad you're enjoying watching it anyways! 😊 Unfortunately, I don't have an Instagram skating account!

Hi. I'm wondering if you're only working on the same one or two elements in a session? Have you tried connecting the skills you have already learned? Learning one element in isolation is fine at first, but it is more fun and effective to practice different steps and transitions:)

Yes, I have a few elements that I work on each time, but it really depends on how busy the rink is that day. I know the last time I had a private lesson, my coach also wanted me to start combining elements together when I lap around the rink 😅

Hello, Jen! You were going to restart taking group lessons some time ago, did you? Yesterday I proudly fell at a 3-turn. Again. Is it consistency or inconsistency? 🤣

Haha, I always "lose" what I have on my 3-Turn whenever I don't practice for a week or so. 😅 Yes, I started group classes again at the end of June! I'm in Beta classes working on Backward Crossovers (of course).
