My guess is that Inky did not feel well. Looks like she had trouble getting and staying warm. Philbert of course must have been thinking "She's sooo cute!"

Inky 🌟 philbert is so sweet to inky can't wait to see her

Inky and Filbert are so cute together. They are so boisterous and happy birds. They are a great combo.

I always suspected the 'Phoebe Call' was some sort of Chickadee equivalent to Marvin Gaye...

Philbert, if you aren't careful, Inky's going to start demanding the bird version of vanilla icre cream with pickles and jalapenos on top. Covered in chocolate sauce, of course. LOL 🤣

These birds are my favorite ever. ❤

We've had more chickadees lately; downy woodpeckers are the ones I love to see; pigeons, grackles, finches, sparrows of course, maybe juncos, nuthatches, robins, flickers....

I'm particularly fond of pigeons and sparrows -- and ringneck doves.

Filbert must be coming by every morning to see if there are any eggs yet!

The nest box looks SO cozy! Lined with soft stuff with a little depression to sleep in. I wouldn't want to get up, either!

Oh Lesley! This is the sweetest story 😊 You should write a children's book about them!!! I miss having the funny Black Capped chickadees - we have the Carolina Chickadees where we live now - haven't gotten to know them yet; they don't seem quite as curious about us as my previous little friends. Thank you for all the videos - they are such a joy to watch and listen to!

Same here. I now live in Carolina chickadee territory. They are very cute and love to visit my feeders and hang around in the branches of trees and shrubs!

"Why are you crying?" "The sweet and human-like relationship of a bird pair got to me."

The Fee Bee call never fails to put a smile on my face. It's such a sweet little song. I got lucky this year and was finally able to film the male in my backyard singing it. What an adorable couple these two are. Just when you think birds can't be cuter, you see them go to sleep and tuck their little beaks into their fluff.

This is so cool to see the interactions between them both. Beautiful

What a wonderful nestbox video! Inky, I understand completely. I’ve never been pregnant, but I’m aging, and my early mornings have turned into late mornings. It’s sometimes exhausting just to be alive. You are so cute and fluffy while you sleep! Once, while Philbert was talking to you from the hole, I could swear he said “Inky”! He’s so persistent trying to get you to wake up (maybe he’s lonely at 5 am?) But it’s wonderful to see how he pays attention to you and checks to make sure that you are okay. These views of activity inside the nest box are fantastic. My birds fly all around my yard and feeders, in and out of the trees and birdbaths, but once they leave my yard for the evening I have no idea what they are up to.

“Hey? Hey, Babe? Hey? Hey? He-“ “WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT THIS EARLY IN THE MORNING?!” “Hi! 😃”

Oh how very sweet ♥️ I have a family of chickadees frequenting my mealworm feeder. A pair built a nest in my neighbors yard.. and eat at mine ♥️ we’re in southern maine.

I had a pair that have lived here for a few years .. they build there nests around my wooded neighborhood; most often my or my neighbor’s yards.. we both have big gardens, and feeders. Their last nest was in my greenstalk garden planter😆♥️ they have fledged now, but I’ve e not seen any of them since. I heard Mr singing a few times in the few days after the littles fledged, but it’s been over a week now 🙁
